“Of course.” She replied following him into his office.

“What? No way.” Fred was such a fantastic boss and Millie loved working for him. Whoever she worked for next would certainly be a downgrade.

“I’ve asked for a transfer to our East coast branch and its just gone through. And as my secretary I wanted you to be the first to know.” What did this mean for her. Was she out of the job? Was he going to ask her to transfer too?

“Now, as far as your job is concerned you have nothing to worry about. You will keep your current position as personal assistant to my replacement.”

“Who’s your replacement?” She asked dreading the answer. Oh God please not him. Anyone but him.

“Well with my leaving there will be a bit of a shuffle around of people but Barry will take up my position.” Millie’s stomach dropped. Just when she thought she was getting over her little accident with Barry she was about to become his personal assistant.
