Barbara resists (for now, at least)

Barbara was confused and angry with herself at these new feelings. She had nothing in particular against lesbians -- she sold plenty of sex toys to gay women, after all, and the store stocked lesbian porn. She'd actually been trying to decide what lesbian titles to order for the nest restock, always a difficult part of the job for her since she just didn't get the point.

Now she was seeing the videos, magazines and comic books (lesbian bondage comic books? The Japanese sure were weird, she'd always thought) in a new light. Still, the idea of making a pass at an employee, even a prospective one, crossed all sorts of lines. Barbara wouldn't let herself be that unprofessional. At 19 she'd quit a job rather than put up with the advances of a creepy boss,

"Men are pigs."

-- and she wouldn't subject anyone else to that. Besides, she was straight.

"No you're not."

Best to remove the temptation. "You can fill the rest of this out in the front room, or at home," she told the young woman. She opened the door and beckoned Victoria to leave. "Don't forget your statue."

Victoria smiled and agreed. She saw Barbara's nipples peeking through her tight shirt, and noted how the woman kept on trying not to sneak peeks at her breasts. Let her stew for a bit. While Barbara wrestled with temptation in the office, Victoria would finish up outside. Taking the clipboard and the Idol, she headed toward her next target.
