Where to now?

Back to the Office

You make the stroll through the courtyard once more and return to your office. On the way back you remember the agenda of work piling up on your desk and contemplate the order in which you want to tackle the tasks.

As you open the door to your office you see Kinsley sitting at her desk typing, she looks back at you and says with a smile "Welcome Back, Dean Martin." You thank her with a polite but brief smile and walk into your office shutting the door. As you sit down at your desk you hear the phone buzz.

"Yes Kinsley?" you say as you pick the phone up from the receiver.

"Sir, I have a call for you from the Samantha in Nutrition Services. Would you like to send it through?" Samantha was the buxom blonde Dietitian in charge of all of St. Rose's nutrition and food services. Her large intellect in the subject of Food Service and Nutrition was matched only by her large bust and shapely bottom.

"Go ahead." You reply and hear a click on the other side of the phone. "What is it Samantha?" you continue into the microphone.

"Sorry to bother you dean, but we have some merchandise missing from the concession stand near the softball fields. I've thoroughly questioned my staff and no one seems to be involved. I was hoping I could come to your office and you could help me find out who is involved."

You tell Samantha to meet you in your office at 1:30 she thanks you and hangs up, you look down on your desk and see a typed piece of paper that was not there when you left. You pick up the paper and read, "Tentative Board Minutes. 3rd Quarter." It's the minutes from the last board meeting that Kinsley was supposed to type up, you read the report and notice quite a few typographical and grammatical errors. You pick up the phone and tell Kinsley to come in. Seconds later she opens the door and steps inside, her lips pressed into her typical adorable smile.

"Shut the door." You tell her in a stern commanding voice, she complies promptly as the smile fades from her face. She's been your secretary long enough to know that your tone of voice means she's in trouble, and she's been at the school long enough to know what happens when someone disappoints you.

"What is this?" You hold up the paper calmly in your hand.

"The Minutes from the board meeting sir. The ones you asked me to prepare." She replies trying to stay positive, but still unsure of what she's done wrong.

You gaze upon the young nineteen year old secretary, her natural read hair frames her pale face and rests dutifully on her shoulders. She's wearing a white St. Rose polo shirt, and black dress pants. The pants are tight enough to allow others to appreciate her figure, but not so tight as to be inappropriate.

"There is a typo, misspelled word or run on sentence in nearly every line of this report." You begin, "I can't give this to the board, they would think me incompetent. This is hardly the first time we've had issues with your grammar young lady. Quite frankly I've had just enough of having to fix your mistakes constantly."

"I'm extremely sorry sir. I'll fix it right away. I'll take my reports to Ms. Major for proofreading from now on sir." she says repentantly as she reaches her hand out to grab the paper. Hoping her apology will suffice for now.

Is her apology good enough?
