"You've been out for a couple days," said Madam Pomfrey. She looked closely at my eyes. Seeing the panic as they looked all about the room.
My arm was killing me right now. I turned my head to my right.
"You still have a right arm Mr. Halfhwit," she said, "You'll have some scaring, but you will have full function." Oh thank Merlin. I used that arm for, things.
Professor Flitwick's face was bright red.
"You don't know how happy we all are to see you awake after the Dragon-," said Flitwick. But Madam Pomfrey cut him off.
"Professor, you will not be speaking about such things in front of my patient," said Madam Pomfrey.
"I am just really happy to see you," said Flitwick, "the whole school will be." The whole school?
The infirmary door opened, followed by the patter of steps.
"We will talk later," said Bagman, "when you get your strength up."
The footsteps suddenly grew louder.
"Idius," They screamed in unison! Padma, Parvati, and Cho Chang ran at me. Madam Pomfrey began to shake her head.
"No screaming in the Infirmary, and you better not put your weight on him."
Mr. Bagman and Flitwick quickly left as the three girls surrounded me.
Their kisses rained upon me. I turned trying to catch each one but failing. So I just lay there, as they kissed my nose, neck and cheeks at their own will.
"I promise I feel fine," I said as they bombarded me with questions.
"Ladies," warned Madam Pomfrey, "I already warned you yesterday this isn't that kind of infirmary. Put your tongue back in your mouth Ms. Patil."
The girls backed away. Finally allowing me to realize something about the dress code. It had changed further.
The three of them wore sweaters that had window cut out to show their cleavage, and skirts that were only made out of a few inches of fabric. It was nice to get the best of both worlds.
"If all goes well tonight," said Madam Pomfrey, "he may go in the morning."
