"That bitch."

"You already knew she was a lying, cheating whore. It's not like this is anything new."

"I know, but I never knew where everything went wrong. A part of me felt like it was my fault, like I wasn't around enough or I wasn't doing enough. For twelve years I've wondered if things could have gone right.

"It wasn't your fault."

"So she was already pregnant the night we met? Do you know which teacher was the father?"

Heather again tapped into her divinely granted knowledge.

"The gym teacher, Mr. Farrow."

"Damnit!"

The girl was taken aback by her fathers sudden reaction.

"No, it's just- I always really liked Mr. Farrow."

The two sat quietly for several minutes while they each processed revelation. Stacy wasn't Dean's. He had no power over her, being a half sibling to his progeny was too distant a relation for him to reach.

"So, what do we do now?"

"We know she's okay, that's what's important. For now let's just spend some time together."
