Back in the Kitchen

"You guys almost done conspiring against us?" Nick jokes as he yells down the hall towards the living room.

The girls walk in line back towards the kitchen, Ethan turning so he can see them, Nathan and Jake readjusting so they face them.

"Well its nice of you to finally join us, felt like you guys were over there for ages." Ethan smiles, getting an eyeroll from Audrey.

"So... who's picking first?" Katie asks with a smile.

"Actually lets do one group at a time so like the guys pick then the girls or whatever." Chloe says, hoping the postpone her "gift" that she is to give to a very special guy.

"Yeah sure." Nathan says, liking the plan.

"Ladies first." Ethan says, "So do we pick out of a hat or something?"

"Just write down your namenon a paper and what the gift on the back." Jake says, wanting ti get this whole ordeal over with.

"Wow Jake giving a good suggestion? Thats something unheard of." Audrey smirks, her rivalry/hatred for Jake still as alive as every.

Nick goes off to retrieve some paper and pens while the groups stand almost in their own posse.

"So what did you guys come up with?" Nathan asks trying to break the silence.

"Hey, it wouldnt be fun if we told you that." Katie smiles, giving Nathan a devilish wink. His heart skips a beat as equally devious thoughts cross his mind.

"Here we are." Nick says, returning with some paper and dollar store pens. Ethan hopping off the counter joins Nathan, Jake and Nick who congregate around the counter. Each writing down their name and offering on a ripped up paper.

Nick brings all of the papers to the center island, where the girls gather on one side and the guys on the other, "Um... does anyone have a hat or something?"

Jessica walks over to the pantry and pulls out a silver mixing bowl and places it on the island.

"That works." Ethan laughs. Nick placing all the folded papers inside.

Jessica eagerly reaches in, looking the other way as if there was any chance she could see who she was to pick, and grabbed a paper, holding it in her enclosed hand.

Audrey reches in and mixes around the three remaining papers, grabbing one and holding onto it as well.

Katie follows, reaching into the metal bowl and retrieving a paper.

Chloe reaches in and grabs the final paper.
