Back at the cottage

You and Ashley sit on the deck watching the autumn sun set across the lake. You look down to see Amanda has fallen asleep as you held her in your arms. Ashley is nursing nine months old Kevin, Jr. Her belly is starting to show with his younger sister or brother. You look up from your daughter to see your wife gazing into your eyes. You reflect that it all kind of started here at the cottage.

Three months ago you were at the wedding of Bobby and Karen. While it could have been awkward and weird it wasn't too bad. Karen and Bobby started dating right after they graduated high school and Karen gave birth to her son, Mark. Karen and Bobby went to Green River Valley Community College and had just graduated before their marriage. You with the help of your father-in-law had been paying for their school costs. Bobby adopted your son with Karen and with a $100,000 wedding gift from you, you all parted ways.

You and Ashley got married by her aunt, the Honorable Judge Patricia Higgins-Smith, before Ashley started to show with your first kid. You, and especially Ashley, want a formal church wedding but thing always seem to come up. Overall, things are pretty good in the Jonson household. Neither of you has gotten much education but you are both working a lot at the bottom jobs of the Smith empire and are over-compensated for it. You will be in an important position in the Smith dynasty before long.

You have leaped ahead of your brother-in-law Jon as it seems he and Tom Bradley have a who is the bigger dip shit contest going. Tom is ahead on convictions with three for a total of sixteen months in jail, to Jon's one with probation. Jon leads the illegitimate children race with seven from five mommies. Tom has four girls all with different moms. Ashley's other brother, William, is away studying to be a world class doctor. No one figures him to spend much time in small Green River City.
