Awakening - Chrom

After thinking it over, you decide to head into Awakening and, to mix it up a little, take the place of good old Chrom. Yeah your options are gonna be a little bit limited since you won’t be Robin, but you can still change some things around. Like making sure that Robin is a woman in this world and also making it so that polygamy are a bit more accepted in Ylisse. At least for you royals that is.

Alright, seems like you have a plan. The space around you then starts to swirl as it feels like the ground beneath your feet shifts. Everything slowly starts to fade to black as you now feel like you are sinking into the ground itself. Once everything is pitch black, you start to feel like you’re falling. After a few minutes of falling, your body jolts as your eyes then open wide, despite you not remembering shutting them. Your hand moves up to your chest and grabs at your heart as you pant. Before you can start to wonder if everything that has happened was a dream, your other hand goes to prop you up, only for your palm to meet grass and dirt. When you go to look around, you see that instead of in your bedroom, you are in the woods with the burnt remains of a campfire nearby and a young blonde haired girl laying in arms reach of you.

“Ah, good to see you awake, my lord.” A stern, authoritative voice comes from a path by your little campsite, “I was worried I was going to have to wake you and Princess Lissa.” When you turn to look at the person, you are greeted by a brown haired man in a full suit of armor standing at attention. Its Frederick! You really are in Ylisse! As you internally celebrate the man gives you a concerned look as he raises a brow, “Milord?” His question pulls you from your thoughts as you steel your nerves before speaking.

“Sorry about that Frederick, I guess I’m still just waking up.” Instead of your voice coming from your mouth, Chrom’s voice comes out. Then it hits you again that you are actually Chrom from Fire Emblem now. That’s so cool! Plus you got a badass voice now. Frederick seems relieved by your statement and gives you a nod.

“Understandable.” He then walks over to a spot across from the fire and pulls a bag out from a hidden spot, “If you would like to freshen up, there is a stream just a little distance from where I came from. I will wake the princess and start gathering everything up in the meantime. I cleared the path for the two of you so you don’t have to worry about tripping along the way.” As the knight talks you take in everything he has said before nodding and getting up from your spot.

“Thank you Frederick, but you don’t have to clear the path for me.” Said night shakes his head in response.

“It is my duty to serve, I won’t do anything less.” When brushes off your words you just chuckle and decide to not argue with him. After making sure Falchion is secured to your side, you head off down the path that Frederick had just used.
