"Alright, whichever seniors are up for bid take a seat in the front row over there," Simmons called out to no one particular and pointed to the middle section of bleachers.
Lacey stopped stretching and grabbed her stuff. She walked over and sat down. Alice, Jena, and Amanda got up and sat in the same row as Lacey, but they spaced theirselves away from her.
"Ok, everyone should be coming soon. So hangout until then," said Simmons going back to his newspaper.
Soon, students and teachers begin filing into the gym filling the seats of the bleachers. The principal, Mrs. Schafer, brought out a microphone and stand to the middle of the floor.
Simmons winced as she sat it down wondering if it was scratching the floor.
"Hey Simmons, all set for the auction?" Asked Mr. Reid, the history teacher, as he sat down next to Simmons. Simmons could fell the bleachers bend. Reid was overweight and a head shorter than Simmons. He was one of those guys who were as wide as they were tall.
"I think so," replied Simmons setting the newspaper down to talk to his friend. "I don't know what else would need done."
"No, I mean are you all set to buy someone?" Asked Reid chuckling.
"I hadn't planned on it," said Simmons raising an eyebrow.
"Well, I figured you would have picked out some trouble maker and planned on making them clean the gym and locker rooms," said Reid. "I plan on having my entire classroom cleaned top to bottom by Amanda Carlisle. She is a constant annoyance in class. Either talking or distracting the boys."
"Yeah, I know what you mean," said Simmons looking in her direction. She was just talking with her friends. "But That is a good idea."
"Thanks wish I could take credit for it, but Mrs. Smith came up with it this morning. She's going after Brian Thompson from the football team," said Reid.
"Hmmmm," said Simmons rubbing his chin in thought as he looked around the gym.
