At the rehearsal dinner

Nila sat among the bridesmaids, but it still wasn't far enough from Kyall. He'd occasionally give her a lustful gaze, one that she was all too familiar with. That night hadn't been the only one they'd spent together. Hell, Kyall had been her on again off again fuck buddy all throughout college. It was only when work took him halfway across the country that she'd stopped seeing him and even then, she longed for him ever since.

She glanced down at her wedding ring. She knew it wouldn't stop Kyall, but part of her wasn't sure if she wanted to. Nila had been feuding with her husband for a while. Him not coming to the wedding had been one of the many issues they'd recently had, and part of her wondered if he deserved to pay the ultimate price for it. It didn't help that Kyall was the better man. Even with his age, he'd kept fit, unlike her husband, and deep down she'd still think of all the nights she'd spent with him when she closed her eyes and touched herself.

"So, how do you know Alexa?" The blonde ditz next to Nila asked.

"Oh, actually I went to school with Daniel."

"Oh okay. I'm Gillian by the way."

"Nila."

"Nice to meet you."

"Likewise." Nila flashed a fake smile.

"So do you have any plans after the wedding?"

"Not really. Just hoping to catch up with some friends. It's been a while."

"Oh that's cool." Gillian said as Kyall couldn't help but think about which 'friend' Nila really wanted to catch up with.

Eventually everyone finished their meals so they headed over to the bar. There, Daniel approached Nila and said "So how's it going?"

"Good. It's been a while."

"Sure has been... Since our high school reunion."

"Yeah. What was that, ten years ago?"

"More I think."

"Jeez. Time really does fly by, doesn't it?"

"Yeah."

"So have you had a chance to talk to Alexa yet?"

"No, I uh haven't actually."
