At the castle

You made your way to the castle as the letter instructed. You were stopped by a guard at the gate but once you showed him your letter he let you in without any further questions just like the letter said. The guard led you through the beautiful corridors of the castle which were lined with expensive looking artwork and beautiful stained glass windows, some of which depicting princess Peach herself.

After walking through the corridors for a while you arrived at a door with a star on it. The guard told you to go in when you were ready and then went back the way you came likely to continue guarding the front gate. After welling up your courage you opened the door and took a step inside. Inside was a beautifully decorated room with more artwork and some tapestries. However, the only furniture in the room was a circular table with four chairs around it. The table also had a lovely looking table cloth and strangely a deck of cards on it as well. After inspecting the room for a bit you heard the door you came through open. Suddenly princess Peach entered the room holding a plate with a cheesecake on it. “Oh hello! Sorry I’m still setting up for our little event, hope you don’t mind. Feel free to take a seat.” The Princess said cheerfully. “Oh uh thank you your highness!” You said awkwardly as you took your seat. You had never spoken to anyone quite like the Princess before and were immediately intimidated by her presence even though she appeared to be very cheery and nice. “Oh don’t be so formal! This is supposed to be a fun event so just call me Peach today.” She said cheerfully again as she placed the plate she was holding on the table. “Oh uh okay Peach.” It felt wrong to call the Princess of your kingdom by her name like that but if she wanted you to call her that you would.

Peach came and went from the room bringing even more sweet treats such as chocolate and a ridiculous amount of tea, some f which you had never heard of. Soon you could hear two female voices approaching the room and two pairs of footsteps slowly approaching. This day was already weird enough but you were wondering who that could be.
