Chapter 11 by Dan5976
Does staring break up the boys?
At first yes, but they're repacking.
Jim and Rick couldn't take their eyes off their girlfriend. It seemed as if they had lost their concentration. Jill, on the other hand, was getting colder. The shed was watertight, but certainly not windproof. She was glad she still had her socks on for now. And if she won this, it would take a little longer. So she hoped for the best.
"Come on guys, play! I'm cold." said Jill. This comment seemed to break the spell. Jim and Rick had awakened from their staring.
Jim drew the first card, an 8. Jill went in second and had luck on her side, a queen. She was trembling a little with excitement, and with the cold. Rick alone could stop her from winning.....his hand went over the cards....."This one!" he said and took the card. Jill shot, Jim cheered, Rick cheered...a king.
Rick cashed the prize. Coins, and most importantly Jill's shorts. At that moment a cell phone rang. "That's mine." said Jill. "Oh dear, it's in my pocket in my pants."
"Unfortunately Jill," said Rick, "it's mine, as well as any other contents of your pockets."
"Oh grrr, my daddy's going crazy if I lose it. I have to have it, please, please. Let's play on, no problem. But Dad wants to know if I'm safe now that the weather is so bad."
Do the boys give in?
