Ask for suggestions... or make a move?
Ask for suggestions
"I'm going to be looking for a place to work out but this club is way too expensive," Rick admitted. "Any suggestions on alternatives?"
Kat's 'look' told him she was judging him, trying to see if he was simply looking to make time with her or seriously interested in working out. He put on his most innocent look since the answer was 'all of the above.'
It must have worked. "You live in Plano."
He nodded.
"Plano recreation center. Out on Coit. Mostly machines and things but should work if you just want basic fitness and, you know, a bit of bulk.
"Okay, thanks." He paused for a moment. Now that he was closer, he saw Kat was a little older than he'd initially thought. Closer to 30 than 20 for sure. Her toned abs, slender but muscled legs and tight ass had taken a few years off of her from across the room but up close something in her green eyes looked road-weary. "Look, I'm going to grab a bite from the snack bar. Want anything?"
She turned that ancient gaze on him and he felt like he was maybe three inches tall. "That junk."
"Yeah, sorry. Bad idea."
She laughed. "Never mind. You meant well. She fished into her towel, came up with a soggy business card and handed it to him. "You want any advice on training, you can call me."
"Thanks." He took the card like it was a treasure. "Maybe I will."
"In the meantime, keep working on the core. You'll burn off that fat and tighten up your whole body."
Fat? So much for his fantasies about her jumping into bed with him. He did have her phone number, though. Perhaps, if he gave the workout thing a serious whirl, she might be more interested next time he saw her.
Home or back to the office?
