Ask about advertising

You explain to him about the ad you saw for Shawdyne.

"Yes, I saw it too," he says.

You throw your hands up and ask, "Well, can we get something like that? It would really help as far as getting people interested. Might even help Luis and Maria decide to make a deal with us."

Mr. Li looks grave. He says, "I'm sorry Debbie, again it's the expense. Each commercial we show costs $500, and that's $500 we don't have."

You bite your lip and consider the issue. You say, "So, if I could get some money together, we could run some ads?"

Mr. Li looks at you, concerned. He asks, "Where would this money come from?"

He's right. You were unemployed for so long that you're still paying off debt. If you're going to spring for advertising, you're going to have to earn the cash here.
