Ask Nothing

You thank Jane for her time. Both of you stand from your chairs and proceed to exit the wooden doors you entered from at opposite sides of the room. As you exit, you steal one last glance at Jane and see that while exiting she is also looking at you. After a brief moment your eyes disconnect from her's and you close the door behind you. She still seemed nervous, almost afraid even. On the other side of the door light from a nearby large glass window blinds you. George, one of the case workers, approaches you.

George walks up with a big smile and says, “So how did it go? Did you like her? Are you going to choose her or should I set up a meeting with another one?”

Still adjusting to the change from fluorescent to natural light you are slightly caught off guard and feel like you just woke from a strange dream. The whole situation is a lot to take in but eventually you realize you need to make a decision.
