As you eat, You wonder.

You sit in silence watching the ladies talk and eat, they all seem to enjoy the fact there are more of them then there are of men. Fact is your pretty sure that, as the books had been saying for years well you had taken college classes. Women tend to be more social so you start to wonder if the plague or sickness would have even been created or released if the women had been in control of the world to start with. You also start to consider the possible, that maybe it might have even come from space. With how great the over all affect it had on the population and the fact that it killed or mutated for lack of the better term or words. The people that were left, leaving people who might be consider to be less then human on most terms left. As you consider this you shake it a side and just decided to figure it was created in a lab but some power hungry idiot and he tried to do this or that and mostly released it on the population because some country would not pay him.

As you sit and consider these things you realize that it is quite possibly the only way you might have end up with these many women around you, you had always considered yourself a loner and you had always figured in the light of full destruction of the human race, you would mostly stick to yourself because it is easier to protected one person then many. But it seems, that maybe Ruth and Tracy are right and you might be one of last of the humans left. I mean The crazies or the sick slightly affected, to a point they can still organize the masses but do not act in the manner that is for the public or good of the species could very well at this point be considered a sub group of humanity. So as far as you know, you being one of the last if not the last person affected by the plague. Acting human for the sake of just being kind, even thou you are lost in a sea of just messed up circumstances after another. May make you the most human of what is left of humanity a live. This direction of thought is really starting to get on your nerves thou.

As you watch them, it is clear at least as far as you can tell these four. These four were not affected, either besides the actions or issues of the environment before they got to you. But at the same time, you feel like maybe because the crazies tended to be the males. The females all Females might have been left in some regard like Prey, you start to wonder if maybe god left you on the planet alive and unchanged as a pawn. But then you realize this direction is also a bad way to think, figuring yourself to be chosen does not help you or the others. It is more like the think the whacked out Colonel mostly used.

So you sit watching them, after a little while Tommie is the first to notice you had been so quiet and openly asks " So Alex what is on your mind?"

Now you could simply just sit there looking at her and just nod your head, or you could inform them of what you really think or just sit here and say something that is not true. And I mean Tommie has been on edge around you since you meet her, is it fair as a whole to just look at her funny that she took interest in what you might be thinking. You decided on an action and put it into motion.

You turn to her and say " I am trying to decided if God cared for us, if that is why we are here. If my actions have been his actions or his will. Problem is I don't much believe in god, and after the plague and what it has done to the world it is not hard to suggest why I might not believe in him. Even if I would consider this as any form of rational understanding of are current environment or state with in."

Tommie looks at you and then at the others as you had she watches them for a bit and then says " I think, maybe he did send you to us. I mean he must have been keeping you safe. He first sent you to me the damaged one, had you pull me inside and hold me and watch over me. He then sent you to Grace, had you free her from the sick and gross of mind. He sent you to Grace to help prove to me you are not like the others to help fix me I think."

You consider this a moment and wonder, is it possible that your freeing Grace form the people who wished to enslave her was the will of someone other then you. It seemed like something was shielding you as you attacked them, everything you did hit the target. You did not harm the girl or yourself well freeing her, but at the same time you have a hard time with this considering it might have just been dumb luck.

Tommie can clearly see you think about what she said and then adds " Then because of your own take on what happen the day before. We returned to the house that we had found resources in, only to find it had more to take and people. Good people not the people we don't want to be around. People that have come to us, more or less looking for us."

You shrug and say " If you take to strongly to the idea that someone is guiding us if we find that in truth we are being lead to something that is not good for any of us it will not reflect well on how it might make you feel. I did not suggest that god might have lead any of this to give you the idea that he might have."

Tommie smiles at you real big and says " He is not guiding us, you are. I would not be so bold as to suggest that anyone else will has been carried out but your own. And the sad part is you doubt yourself and your on intentions or the rights to the feelings or intent you might feel. I mean, I don't think it would scare any of us at this point whatever they are. I mean, it was greedy of me to think as I had when I first meet you, your actions reflect better on you then me."

You just shrug as you consider once again what it had been you had started to think about. You focus on the idea or thought to make sure your safe, you consider possible messages or ways to drop a message that would lead the military to you but would confuse anyone else that sees the message.

You turn to the other four and ask " I am unsure what kinds of back grounds you all have but we need to find some way to leave a message mostly in white spray paint some ways from us. That points the military to us, but does not say to the Colonels Men that we are here. I am considering a famous quote or some other thing, and signing it something like Friends of Kilroy. Because Kilroy is a message during world war 2 that the American's left on freed area's to show people it was safe more or less. So in the end we just need the quote to draw the attention of the right people, we might need more then one and place them in many places to draw attention without really so much as making it clear."

Tracy smirks and says " We would also have to leave the military's commanding officers name if we can help it, to make it easier to resolve it or make it clear it is a message for them."

You think to yourself again and say " I was thinking about this quote, An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life. This is a quote by a famous writer a Mr. Robert A. Hienlein. Thou I am sure we will need more then one, it just simply helps set the intent of the messages that followed should they pick up on them."

Ruth smiles a second and says " I got one I think, give me a second. I think we should use this one, In preparing for battle I have always found that plans are useless, but planning is indispensable. It was said by Dwight D Eisenhower, and it is proof more or less of no ill intent by us."

You nod and say " That is very good but we still lack the word Industrial and a way to show that we are here, without making others realize what we have done. We also need to decided who is going to look for the locations that are far away from us, On a route the military mostly will use and is not clearly pointing in are direction."

Tommie looks at you a second and says " I would suggest under the High Way over passes, it's an area that most people besides the military mostly will avoid. It provides train soldiers with cover, well exposing idiots for what they are. Also if the Colonel is smart which I don't think he is he would have set up ambushes here and caved in the roads in many locations. And from what I know from the travels I have had around the area since this happen that has not happen. Also the under passes are surprisingly clear of vehicles. It is almost like the Colonel is trying to get the government to judge him for his actions and kill him and all the other dirty pigs."

You shrug and say " I think, for the purpose of this. The under pass is not a viable possibility. I think we should put the messages maybe on the roads? I mean it would stand out if it was on the road and it is a lot easier to find a place on any road then it is to find a place on a wall they might see. So then we just have to decided how far out to place them. But the fact is we still need more quotes still."

Grace looks at you and says " We could always come up with one or two of are own to make sure it is clear we are leaving a message. But to a degree they have no idea what is being said I mean the stupid people the ones **** and killing people and so on."

You shrug and say " I guess we could but then we need to keep it short and clear, I mean. That maybe we need a secondary paint color, maybe red, and maybe blue. It is kinda lame, but we can use the red for the final message. And Blue to show them it is the right direction but that means four/ five of them. That means we all might have to out and spray paint and do this alone. And that alone is upsetting to me. I mean it exposes all of us to the possibility of danger."

Ruth smiles and says " I will do it, and do it alone. It is the least I can do, and the fact is I am mostly the best with a gun anyway. And I had planned to go for that long walk anyway, we made it from are house in San Diego to are boat. I am sure you guys did not go nearly as far as I did to get here. I am more then willing to do this, and I will be sure not to return directly here to prevent anyone from following me. This being the key to all things as a whole, if you consider them."

Tracy looks a little worried but at the same time she realizes her mother has the commanders name and all and was given a number and other stuff to leave on the messages. So it is in fact best she does this, since the numbers look like an Area code anyway. She realizes that is it, use the area code of the building. This will allow the military to figure it out, without letting the idiots figure it out.

Tracy smiles at the group and says " I found the key to the whole thing, we can sign it Kilroy leave the name of the commander the number mother was given to prove she is someone to trust, And the mailing address area code for this building. I mean if we can find that they should be able to figure it out even if we include the commanding officers rank number and all that. And most people will have no idea what it means we can even just leave some of the area code not even all of it and they should make sense of it."

You think for a moment about the building your in and take a look outside again, and you realize you had mistaken. The company a bit, you had figured it to be construction because of all the raw resources around and the number of trucks and so on. But you realize it was just a steel transport company, Well the number of empty cargo containers and the number of trucks around you capable of moving them is not an issue you can still beef up your defensive standing without having to move the concrete barriers. You can also stack up some of the steel and other resources so it looks like there was an accident, making it even harder for people to tell the truth of the existences of people here all the same.

You smile and say " If we can find a piece of mail in one of these desk we can find the post code." You look in a desk and pull out a piece of paper, You smile at all of them and say " Its 90058-5555, that was easy. So I guess if we leave a message in this regard we would do 90058-5 with a small 4 as to suggest four of them? or 5x4 or something anything to help hide the truth well signing each one different to lead them to figure that the key is in the 5? but without just putting 5555, in less in one of the quotes and signed we wish to place 555-5555 as if it is are phone number. This might help them figure it out better."

Ruth smiles and says " I think that is a very good plan, I will come up with a few more quotes that suggest we mean no harm and put this plan into action as soon as I am clear of this or that. I will be taking my gun, and a pair of night vision goggles and my vest, it is clearly safer to move at night more so if you can see things and others can't."

You nod and say " Good plan, we will see you when you return."

Grace then asks " Why are who said? why is she doing it? It is not even like she knows this area very well correct?"

You shake your head and say " I get the feeling Ruth feels she has lived a long life and had a child and is blessed to have her still alive to this day. And to help preserve her life. She wishes to do this, I mean she made it to us from so far away she has observed and completed tasks we have not been told clearly. We should just set up the camera's to watch for her return and move some of the equipment and other things around here to help better cover are presences for her return."

Grace thinks for a second and then turns to Tracy and asks " Are you ok with this?"

Tracy nods and adds " My mother, might not look like it but she is quite capable of this task. She knows she has to go some distance she knows she has to spread out the messages, she knows she can't place them to close. She will be fine, we saw that the area round here is covered in other shipping companies and houses and stuff. There was not much of anything people might need at this very moment, I mean most of the activity sounds to be 6 to 8 miles from here if not more. It really is the best time for any of us to figure out how to leave a message for the military to wait it out. And who knows they might even report it on the radio once they find the message."

You just shrug as Tommie says " Well at least he is able to think outside the box in a way we would not consider. I mean who would have thought to use spray paint, in this way. I mean people are just going to think someone went crazy and started to paint stuff for the most part. So I mean the fact it should make sense to someone out there which I hope it will proves how smart it is."

Ruth looks at the girls and then at you and says " Alex if you don't mind I would like a little lone time with you maybe to cut the edge on my nerves before I go?"

You look to Tracy who is grinning ear to ear, and then at Grace and Tommie who are just nodding that it is a good idea, so you just nod and follow her into the room.
