Arriving at the movies

Arriving at the multiplex, the gang got their tickets and made their way to their theater. Despite trying to ensure that he'd sit next to Sam, Kyle was instead stuck between Eli and Melissa, with Sam and Kim several seats away. After returning with snacks from the concession booth, which thankfully were a (diet) soda and a large popcorn that he was sharing with Eli, the film started.

Thankfully, the girls seemed to be willing to let Kyle enjoy the experience as the film played. However, twenty minutes in, Kyle began to shiver. Between the short skirt and the crop top, a lot of him was exposed and the air conditioning was cranked really high. Eli must have taken notice because he quickly handed the large popcorn tub to Kyle.

"Hold this." he whispered.

Eli unzipped his hoodie and draped it over Kyle's shoulders, before taking the popcorn tub back. Kyle pulled the hoodie over his arms and zipped it up, happy to be warm and to be wearing men's clothing for the first time since this whole debacle started.

"Thanks." Kyle whispered.

"No problem." Eli smiled as he whispered back.

After another half hour, there were a few embarrassing instances where Kyle accidentally brushed his hand against Eli's, which were all punctuated by a small giggle and furious blushing on Kyle's part, and a smile on Eli's part. But Kyle was enjoying the movie, that is until Eli reached his arm and put it around Kyle's shoulder.

Kyle immediately froze and turned to Melissa, who only smiled and gave him a thumbs up in response. Kyle should pull away, but he didn't want to cause a scene in the middle of the theater. More importantly, it was a really climactic scene, and he didn't want to miss any of it.

He wasn't sure if it was the warmth of the hoodie, combined with the... honestly reassuring feeling that came from Eli's arm, but Kyle soon forgot that Eli's arm was even there as the hero on screen took down the villain in a spectacular action scene.

"Yes!" Kyle pumped his fist as the hero landed a good punch.

Eli turned to him and started to chuckle, with Kyle joining in with a giggle.

Kyle felt Eli adjust his arm and watched as Eli started to move his face closer to Kyle's.
