Arrival

The car pulled over on the side of the country road. The building was remote, and parking in the driveway would have been too obvious. The group found a hole in the metal fencing that surrounded the property, and climbed through. They stared in amazement at the imposing gothic building in front of them. Some windows had been boarded up with plywood or boards nailed to the frame. "So how exactly are we getting in"? Ben asked. "I don't know" Mike whispered. "I guess we just circle the place until we see a way in". " Oh and watch out for security" Dan added.

They rounded the large complex of buildings, finding no security guards around. "Looks like we're alone" exclaimed Brandon. The group decided to explore some of the smaller buildings that surrounded the main part of the complex, finding nothing of interest other than the decaying wood that had caused parts of the roof and floor to collapse, giving the area an eerie atmosphere.

The main building stood imposing, especially in the dark, with rain beginning to fall down, everyone was **** to get inside to continue their expedition but more importantly, shelter from the rain. All of the windows on the ground floor had been boarded up and the front door seemed to be latched on the other side. "Hey, over here" Dan called to the rest of the group. He pointed to a small hole in the outer wall that led down into the basement of the building, presumably due to rot and lack of maintenance. "Great" exclaimed Mike. "So how do we get in there". Brandon began to tear at the loose bits of wood that formed the edges of the hole, and began to complain loudly when he got a large splinter stuck in the palm of his hand. "Bunch of girls" Zoe muttered as she rolled her eyes. "Here I'll do it". She said with a huff. "You sure"? Mike asked. "Yeah, I'll be fine" the young redhead replied. "I'm the only one who'll fit through, then I'll just find my way to the front door, unlock it and we're in" she said enthusiastically. "Oh and I'll avoid the ghosts" she said with a giggle.
