Around the time Buffy is dating Angel.

As Joyce Summers stood in the living room doorway watching her daughter Buffy and her two friends Willow and Xander hang out watching TV together, she couldn't help but think back to the conversation that she had with her friend from work.

(Flashback)

"I don't know what to do Marci, Buffy is making a big mistake but she doesn't want to see it." Joyce complained telling her friend Marci all about how Buffy was ignoring such a good looking boy all because she couldn't see how much potential he had.

"Well if your daughter doesn't want him why don't you take him for yourself, After all you shouldn't let someone like that go." Marci replied with a lecherous smile on her face.

"I couldn't do that it wouldn't be right, I'm old enough to be his mother." Joyce said without much conviction in her voice.

"Well just think about it," Marci replied as she got up to leave but not before saying, "After all you deserve some loving in your life. So what if he just so happens to be a young man things like that are happening more and more these days."

Stunned Joyce got up and left deciding to think on this all later.

Shaking her head clear of such thoughts Joyce watched as her daughter and friends got up to leave and hang out at the bronze. As they started to leave Joyce decided to make her move and stopped Xander from leaving.

"Huh what's up Mrs. Summers?" Xander asked as Joyce stopped him from leaving.

Smiling in a friendly manner Joyce replied, "I could use some help with some stuff around the house why don't you stay for a bit and help me then you can catch up with my daughter and Willow."

"Okay just give me a second to tell the girls what's happening," Xander said as he ran down the driveway and caught up with Buffy and Willow.

Watching Xander talk to the girls Joyce smiled to herself and went inside to get ready to seduce Xander.
