Aquatic Savior

You gritted your teeth as you struggled to keep the Linoone from biting at your head. "Nngh! Get off me!" The swift raccoon snarls and snaps at you, its ferocity making it hard to push for you to push him off. 'D-dammit, Linoone are not usually supposed to be that strong! Do Pokémon become stronger when they become feral?!' I thought in desperation as my sore arms tired faster, the Linoone's teeth was reaching towards your head.

Before the Linoone could sink its teeth in you, it was blasted off and away from you. You turn your head and saw a Croconaw approaching you and the down infected. Before you can get a good look at him, the water type moved forward and started to attack the Linoone who quickly recovered and started grappling with the crocodile.

You struggled to get yourself up as you were was amazed how the Linoone got up so quickly. 'They can recover faster than normal too?! This is bad..' You thought to yourself as you try to move, but the fact that your body is too sore to move properly, **** yourself to sit against a tree and try and rest a little as you watch the two battle.

The Croconaw stood against the growling Linoone as it charged towards him. The water type waited before side-stepping and striking it with Aqua Tail. The attack knocked the normal type away, though it quickly recovered and charged with quick attack, hitting the water type in the center. You were concerned at the impact, but noticed something. While it grunted from the impact, the Croconaw kept himself up and even threw the infected normal type to the ground.

That was an eye-opener for sure. Whoever this Croconaw is, he's no stranger to fighting infected. Someone like him would be good to have on your side... if he isn't gonna come after you next. You struggle to get himself up, but can't move so much. You reached towards your right side to get an berry, only to discover that your bag is not on your back. You look to see that it was near the spot where you were attacked. "I got to get my bag, my berries and meds are in there." You said to yourself as you start to move to it, only to barely dodge a Croconaw rolling back. You gritted your teeth, realizing that you're not gonna be able to get to it during this heated battle.

The Linoone launched into the air to grab at the Croconaw, who did the same and the two started to grapple, then the water type went and bite into the infected Linoone's shoulder, causing it to cry out in pain as it backed away. Then the Croconaw took the opportunity to blast the Linoone with water pulse, knocking the infected out.

You can hear that the water type was panting a bit as you take the opportunity to stagger yourself quietly to your bag. Just as you picked it up, you felt a presence behind you and you soon turned around and found yourself face to face the Croconaw that saved you. Being so close now, you are able to see the gator sports...
