"Oh, thanks..." you say, passing her and reading yourself to leave. "So... what about cinema and dinner tomorrow then? Start anew...?"

That last line of yours was of course completely wasted. Once this girl has said that "let's just forget about the whole thing." she DOES mean it. In school next day everything is just as normal, and Sarah is all smiles again. But you'll never be able to date her again.
