Another layer gone, this time faster

Anara's brow started to become wet with sweat, the strain and pressure from the surrounding enchantments began to squeeze even harder now that the outer layer was gone, breathing became a challenge. She could see the second layer already showing small cracks, the shimmering even brighter than what was on the first layer. She had to move her ass and fast.

Passing a hundred of pages of nothing of importance, just babble about divinity and how powerful one who can wield such power can be, it took mere seconds but felt like an eternity for Anara, 'did this old geezer, Arcanist Porfolitz really couldn't get to the point?' she thought to herself. She must be in a real hurry she spelled his name right in her mind this time, was another thought that passed her.

Then she found an interesting looking chapter, the words Mana and Teleportation were all over it, almost always a word or two apart, so technically always coming up together. She gave the tiny knowledge curator to add the word 'Mana' to their search. Before she could blink the sentence "The source of Mana was ingrained in Teleportation, even though we do not see it this way today" was highlighted to her from the page. This sentence confused her, she didn't actually know where Mana was coming from, only that it was in limited supply, but this together with "To apparate Mana one must feed the beast to its satisfaction, that is known" confused her. 'Was mana not just a resource the Association of Magi had a monopole of producing?' She thought to herself, 'Was it not just some kind of a rare deposit?' she continued pondering. The glow from the second layer became brighter.

'And what does it have to do with teleportation?' she found herself lost. The book wasn't a total waste just for this, but Anara did not know what to do with that information. Before she could continue with her search, the second layer broke with an audible 'bang!', almost like glass shattering. Anara began to panic, that layer only took two minutes to burst. She was down to the last layer nowhere near an answer to her query.
