Anna asked me out after a training.

She said it in a casual way. But I was super excited and awfully nervous at the same time. Tom just stood there and watched with a gaint grin on his face, which he promptly hid, when Anna turned around and walked past him towards the locker rooms.

"I didn't hear everything, when are you two going out?"

"I don't know yet. I guess i'll text her later."

I tried to play it off cool, but deep down I knew Tom would see right through my charades. He knew I had a crush on Anna for a while.
Later that day I texted her. A genuine "Hey, what's up?". I got a quick response.

"Nothin, much hbu?"

"Same"

I paused a moment. Then I went on.

"So about that date... R u free tomorrow?"

"No, i dont think so... on the weekend would be better. Theres a nice park right outside my door."

I agreed to meet her at the bus stop in front of the park on Saturday and went to sleep. It was Tuesday. Four nights until my rendezvous with Anna.
I couldn't sleep that night. And the following nights weren't much better. i couldn't get her out of my head. But I **** myself into sleep on Friday early, because I did not want to look like Gollum when I met up with her.
