Ann sighed softly, not wanting Ron to notice it as she turned her eyes away from him for a moment.
She loved her family, her husband included, but she knew that she had largely given up on her husband and their boys the moment she went to Ron to try and protect Kim. Until Kim was free she would never see the rest of her family again; she had known that going in. Things were looking for less hopeful everyday though since she first entered Ron’s stronghold. As Ron’s power over the world expanded it seemed more and more unlikely that escape would be possible.
Though she had aged well, she knew that wouldn’t last forever; someday her physical and mental condition would begin to deteriorate just as it did for everyone. But with Ron’s offer that didn’t have to be the case. She could become young again, regaining her old youthful vigor and appearance. She could even protect her daughter for longer.
Still, to de-age felt like she would be losing a bit of herself. It also meant completely letting go of her family on the outside.
