Chapter 6
by theredsword2
What does he write?
Ann Takamaki, Extremely Skimpy Bikini.
"Ann Takamaki, Extremely Skimpy Bikini." he wrote.
Ren stifled a laugh. This was really stupid. Of course it wouldn't work, but might as well have his fun. Well, whatever. It didn't matter right now.
He continued unpacking his things until everything was back to normal. It's only been a few months since he left, so it didn't take too long.
He checked the time on his phone. Right now, it was about time to meet up with everyone in front of the dog statue at Shibuya.
As he stuck his phone in his pocket, he looked at the small journal. It was small enough to fit into his pocket, so he shrugged and stuck it in. Maybe he could ask to see if anyone had sent it to him or something.
Ren got off his train at Shibuya station and walked towards the intersection. As he crossed the street, he noticed everyone sitting on a bench. Under normal circumstances, it would take a while for him to find them due to how crowded Shibuya always is. But there was one thing that made his friends stick out like a sore thumb.
Ann. She was wearing nothing but a swimsuit... if you could even call it that. It was basically just three strings. The first string went around her chest and was tied off in the back, just barely enough to cover her nipples. The second string went around her waist, and the third was tied to the second in order to cover her crotch and butt, though that third one seemed a little tight.
"What the hell are you wearing?" Ren asked.
"Huh?" Ann asked. "You come back after a few months and that's the first thing you have to say to me? You dick."
"Yeah, man, not cool," Ryuji said. "At the very least, we're glad you're back. Shame that you don't get to live with your parents after a full year of being away from them."
Everyone gave him a hug, but Ann's embrace was actually really awkward. To him, at least. She didn't actually seem to mind.
"Still..." Ren said. "What are you wearing?"
"Huh?" Ann asked. "It's my bikini."
"Why are you asking this now?" Makoto asked. "She always wears that."
"What?" Ren asked. "Are you guys pranking me now?"
"Prank? What prank?" Futaba asked.
Ren looked around. Despite being in one of the busiest intersections in the world, and their female friend being essentially nude, no one batted an eye. No pedestrians cared, his friends didn't care. He was the only one who cared.
How? How did this happen? Wait, was this the work of the notebook? This notebook had to be some kind of prank, right? Wait, but if it was a prank, how did they get random passerby to ignore her?
"Um, Ann, you said you always wore that?"
"Um, no," she said.
Oh thank god.
"I mean, I have plenty of other skimpy bikinis. Do you think this is my only pair?"
Mother shitfuck.
"No, I mean you've only ever wore bikinis like that for your entire life?"
"You're the leader of the Phantom Thieves, for god's sake. How could you have never noticed? Of course I have!"
"What about gym clothes?"
"My gym clothes are bikinis too, dummy," she said.
"Your Phantom Thief uniform?"
"Are you just going to barrage me with obvious questions? Do you have amnesia or something?"
He put a hand to his forehead.
"Woah, are you feeling alright?" Ann asked. "You don't actually have amnesia, right?"
"I'm fine, i'm fine," he said.
"You don't look fine..." Haru said.
"Don't worry, I'm alright," he said. "Okay, Ann, can you answer me these questions honestly regardless of how strange or bizarre they seem?"
"Oh... uhh... I guess..."
All his other friends looked at him strangely, but at this point, he didn't care. He just wanted to get to the bottom of this.
"Have you ever wore something that's not a bikini for a photoshoot?"
"No."
"Have you ever wore something that's not a bikini, ever?"
"No."
"Do you own any type of clothes other than these bikinis?"
"Of course not."
"Would you ever wear anything that's not a bikini?"
"Of course not."
"Why?"
"Because... I... I just like bikinis, okay?"
Okay, okay, that's enough. He backed off... he wasn't going to get a clear answer.
"Okay, fine, whatever," Ren said, backing away. "Sorry. Let's change the subject. First off... did any of you send a package to Leblanc?"
"Huh?" Makoto asked. "I didn't. Why, did you receive something?"
"I did," he said, pulling the journal out of his pocket. He handed it to Makoto, who opened it up.
"Well, it looks like it's from someone's math homework, or something," Makoto said.
"What?" Ren asked, getting up to look over her shoulder. The first page simply said "Ann Takamaki, Extremely Skimpy Bikini", and the rest were blank.
"Well, it must've gotten sent to the wrong address," Makoto said, handing it back. "Or maybe one of your friends wanted to give you notes. I'm not sure,"
"Was there a return label of any kind?" Ann asked. He averted his gaze because of how bizarre this all was.
"No," he said. "Well, actually, this is the wrong notebook," he fibbed. "The other one was at my house... I guess I just brought the wrong one."
He just really wanted to experiment now that he had an idea that it worked, but he still wasn't completely certain his friends weren't just trolling him.
As he looked inside, he grabbed a pencil and began writing something else.
What does he write next?
