Angel the Introvert

Mandy walked into the room and found that the lights were off. Angel was curled up on her bed, wearing the same hoodie and sweat pants that Mandy had seen Angel wearing before.

"You've been in here since class, right?" Mandy asked.

One of the strange things they'd discovered was that they had Prof. Mitsurugi's class together. The two of them sat near one another. Mandy was probably the only person in the class who Angel recognized.

"Want to go down to the student union and grab something to eat?" Mandy asked.

Angel didn't so much as move or make a sound in reply. It was like Mandy had never said it.

"Hello?" Mandy asked.

That got a reaction from Angel. Though, the reaction was just to turn on her side and grunt.

Mandy sighed. This hadn't been the first time that Angel had been like this. But, normally their friendship was stronger then this. Going down for lunch together was not that uncommon. Mandy had been making other friends since coming here, but Angel always seemed so lonely that Mandy wanted to be near her. Among other reasons.

"I'll take that as a no then." Mandy whispered softly to herself, plopping down on her own bed.

Angel was just in a mood. She'd be back to normal soon. Still, that didn't mean this didn't sting.
