Round 2:
Midoriya vs. Shiozaki
Tsuyu vs. Mina
Tokoyami vs. Bakugo
Kirishima vs. Todoroki

Deku was at a bit of a loss. She'd hoped to be able to evade Shiozaki's vines, but the girl was certainly powerful, and eventually she'd caught Deku in a tight binding of vines, and was currently holding her in the air.

"This is your punishment for your sins." The girl said coldly.

The vines squeezed tightly. Enough to hurt, but not enough to cause lasting damage, and Deku realized she was out of options. Her desire to avoid pissing off her former childhood friend/bully was not exactly at it's peak, and she wasn't throwing the fight for him...

So she shifted to Explosion, and a moment later was blowing the vines holding her apart. When separated from Shiozaki, they were far weaker, not enough to pull apart with her strength, but enough to get a little more wiggle room for another blast.

In mere seconds, as her opponent processed and reacted to the not previously expected quirk, she'd managed to systematically disassemble her "cocoon" and drop heavily to the ground. By the time more vines came her way, she was rushing the other girl, and the wall of vines she threw up as a shield was barely an obstacle...They were blown apart just as easily as the cocoon.

Deku wasn't like Bakugo though, and couldn't bring herself to use such a highly offensive quirk directly on a classmate, especially at close range.

So, instead, she shifted into Frog once again, and leapt, tackling the girl and wrapping her in her tongue.

The pair tumbled to the ground, and Deku felt vines grabbing at her again, trying to pull her away. But they were at a standstill, neither able to break the grip of the other as they both grappled on the ground.

But Shiozaki had one major advantage, as she hefted the pair up off the ground with more vines, and Deku only had one tongue. She had more individual strength in her tongue than the vines, but there were far more vines.

"Get your filthy tongue off of me!" Shiozaki added more vines to the struggle, wrapping them both in a shell dug into the ground to give her more leverage to pull from. "Are you really g-going to **** me right here in a fight!?"

"What? No!" Deku managed despite her extended tongue and the vines pulling at every part of her.

"Don't lie! I can sense your...your sinful urges! Let me go!"

Deku started to secrete paralyzing mucous. Mostly through her tongue, but the few spots where her explosions had exposed her skin also did the same. She wasn't sure whether it would work on the vines or not, but it was worth a shot, and the places she was holding Shiozaki directly certainly would feel it.

"W-what are you doing to me??" Shiozaki's voice was weak.

"It's a paralytic, kero."

"I don't know what you're talking about, kero."

The girl's movements were growing increasingly sluggish.

More vines broke apart the weakened, disconnected shell, and gently lifted Shiozaki and laid her outside the ring.

There was a long moment of silence as the crowd processed that she'd copied her opponent's quirk, but then cheering and shouts erupted everywhere.

"Winner: Izuku Midoriya!"

As she walked out of the arena, she caught a glimpse of Bakugo shooting her **** glares from the stands.

Deku missed almost all of the rest of the fights that round, trying to go get changed to at least protect her modesty enough for the next fight.

By the time she'd retrieved her gym uniform, changed, and gotten back, the last fight of the round was wrapping up.

She checked the standings board.

Tsuyu had lost to Mina, and Tokoyami to Bakugo. And right at that moment, Todoroki had Kirishima frozen in a solid block of ice, only his face exposed, and unable to break free.

The boy struggled valiantly, but it was clear that he had no escape, and after a while had passed, the teachers called the fight in favor of Todoroki.

So that meant...Her next match would be against Mina, and the other match of next round would be Bakugo vs Todoroki.

She hoped she'd not have to miss that one, as the two were, by far, her biggest competition in the class.
