Damien made eye contact with each of the twelve men now in the room.”

Hard men all, they all still broke eye contact first. Damien had long ago learned the use of the thousand yard stare and he had become quite proficient at it.

“That said, if you follow my lead I will have your back - each and every one of you. Together we can profit and survive to spend it.”

Damien squares his shoulders and ran his gaze across the room.

“Would anyone like to challenge my authority? If so, now is the time. After this point, failure to follow my orders will result in...termination of employment.”

No one challenged him.
