An important conversation

Hermione's POV

After I hear the door close behind our host and Ikumi, I relax a little. He's finally out of the house, I think to myself.

I go to the library, since I want to keep up the facade that I'm doing what he wants. So I start cleaning the library first.

After about an hour, I sit down on one of the chairs. That takes forever, alone and without magic.

I get up and look around. The library is about half full of books. I've managed to mop the floor and clean the lower shelves in the last hour.

I don't know how often he thinks I should do this, but I'm sure it will take me a few more hours.

I decide to take a break and walk out of the library. I wander around the house a bit until I find Ram in a room mopping the floor.

"Hey, Ram was your name wasn't it?" I ask her. Ram turns to me. "Yeah right, and your name is Hermione right?" "Right," I answer her and sit down on a stool.

"I thought maybe we could talk a little if you want." "Oh, shouldn't we do our chores first? I'd hate to be punished by James" she returns.

She doesn't call him master, so her mods are off, I figure. "We have plenty of time, don't we? Besides, you can't do the whole house in one day anyway. I think that's too big a task for one person."

"Oh, I like to clean, I don't mind" she says to me and continues wiping a bit. "You do miss your sister don't you? Don't you want her here with you?"

She stops wiping. "I'd like her to be here already, but there's nothing we can do about it."

I grin because an idea comes to me. "Well, I have an idea about how we might be able to get you to see your sister again."

"How?" she asks a little impetuously. "We'd have to do something first for that. We need to get out of here somehow without him noticing and meet with others who want to help."

"Do you think there are people who want to help us, and how do you plan to do that?" Ram asks, not exactly ****.

"There must be persons who cannot tolerate this. Besides, I've been thinking of a plan to get out of here all day."

"If you got a plan, you'll let me know, right?" asks Ram. "Of course, if you agree to help me" I say smiling and Ram nods at me.

I say goodbye to her and go back to the library to continue cleaning. That worked out pretty well for now.
