An idea pops in your head.

You wake early after a good nine hours of sleep fully rested and hungry. Sadly the cheap hotel doesn't have a free breakfast so you decide to get ready and head out early, still not sure what you are doing, other than finding a nice sausage biscuit somewhere. After a quick shower you realize you didn't buy any makeup, tooth brush, comb or anything. “Awe fuck.” Is all you can say, but after tussling your hair a bit, you decide you look fuckably cute no matter what you do. You swap the pink night shirt for one of the black t-shirts, then pull on a pair of pink lacy panties. Plopping back on the bed you turn on the television to see what kind of weather you are in store for today. “Looks like rain.” Picking through the clothes you decide to go for the lighter pair of jeans, one pink and one orange no show socks, and the white tennis shoes, cursing yourself for forgetting a coat as well. Just then panic sets in and you run outside. Thankfully you did actually remember to put the top up on your car as it is already sprinkling. Breathing a sigh of relief you go back in the room, pack everything away, and check out.

Driving away you hit the nearest fast food place and get a pair of breakfast biscuit sandwiches, and a big glass of orange juice. Then hit a store to pick out a bunch of makeup, mostly black, a gray hoodie with neon green laces and inner lining, and a light wind breaker style rain coat that is mostly black with some sparkly hot pink. Throwing on the coat you decide to blow this town and hit the road, figuring a bigger city, say the capitol might be a better place to try to make some money. You have no idea how you are going to do that exactly, but hoping you will think of something. Punching Des Moines into the navigation it tells you that you will be there by noon. Firing up the car, you head out, munching the sandwiches as you make your way to the interstate.

The three hours on the road pass rather quickly, as you travel you flip through the stations finally stopping when something in you demands that you sing along with Skater Boy. As you drive and sing, you also decide that you are actually a pretty good singer. In fact you aren't even sure if you knew that song word for word like that before now. “Huh. Is that what I got for being turned into a girl?” You can't help but think, that you did some make me talented sort of a wish in exchange for your soul or whatever. An idea hits, you do a search for singing competitions nearby and while you don't find anything really, there is a karaoke competition at a bar in Cedar Rapids, IA tomorrow night that the top prize is $250. Seems as good an idea as any, and you type in the new destination.

Another quick road meal later, and you are again zipping down the highway. Once you make it to the city you decide to first find a hotel that will take cash after the trouble you had last night. It takes a bit and you have to give him $200 to hold as a security deposit, but the room is pretty nice. Leaving your bag of clothes and new makeup kit, you decide to hit the club where the competition is in case you have to register early. It is pretty much a dive bar, but the dance floor is pretty big. As it is only 4pm it is pretty quiet and the nice brunette girl behind the bar lets you know all you need to do to enter the competition tomorrow is to show up and pay the $10 entry fee, that is refunded to the top 10 finishers.
