An....eventful day at school

Minato sighed deeply as he twisted the ring situated on his right hand, feeling the cool metal on his ring finger.

He wore the silver ring, as it was easier to conceal than the golden ring. The letter N was present in the middle of the ring, to which he didn't know the meaning behind.

"And can anyone tell me the poet prominent in this era?" Miss Toriumi asked to the class. "Anyone?"

He usually used this as a time to nap, tuning out the world around him. Minato was a master at napping without the teacher catching him, as he had gone months without a detention from his activities.

"Iori!" She called out the person sat next to him. "Who is the poet most prominent during this era of Japan?"

Junpei Iori, also a member of SEES. He was the stereotypical class clown, except he wasn't all that funny. A baseball cap was always present on his head that Minato didn't know if the boy even had hair at all.

"Um, I don't know?" Junpei replied to which Ms. Toriumi threw a chalk at him.

'That was weird' he thought. Junpei would always ask him the answers in class, always in fact. It was a bit strange, but not an issue that needed an in-depth explanation for.

The class continued like normal, with him still sleeping with his elbows propped on the table.

In the middle of the class, Ms. Toriumi had called attendance for the second time. She had said that everyone should speak up if they were present or not.

His name wasn't called, as if she had simply forgot to. It was weird, today was weird.

Everything was weird. Oddity after oddity.

She stared at him, her calculating gaze looking straight at his sleeping form. He was a bit scared that he was going to get an earful from her but she just continued her lesson.

It was as if she didn't just see him sleeping. Ms. Toriumi had a strict no sleeping rule, and anyone caught napping in class was punished severely.

Then why? Why hadn't she punished him? Thrown him in detention.

And that was what he did, until the bell rang and class ended.

Minato was deep in sleep, dreaming of something.

He was so deep in his slumber, so deep in fact that he didn't hear the rustling of clothes around him. The sounds of chattering and giggling filled the room and Minato groggily opened his eyes.
