Chapter 4 by Halo423 Halo423

How does she end up naked?

America’s Gift: Kate Bishop’s Birthday in the Buff

Kate Bishop pushed open the glass-paneled doors to the Avengers’ training room, her confidence matching her impeccable aim. She scanned the sprawling high-tech space. The holographic targets hummed softly in standby mode, and the sleek sparring dummies gleamed under the bright lights. For all its sterile professionalism, the room radiated a sense of challenge and triumph—perfect for the day's plans.

Dressed in her usual purple suit, Kate’s attire was as practical as it was form-fitting, hugging her toned frame with strategic holes on the hips that offered just enough ventilation, mobility, and a touch of flair. She rolled her shoulders, adjusting her quiver of arrows, her sharp eyes already critiquing the layout of the room.

“Well, if it isn’t my favorite wannabe Robin Hood!” a teasing voice echoed across the room.

Kate smirked as America Chavez sauntered in, her stride brimming with effortless cool. America’s trademark star-emblazoned jacket swayed with each step, and her confident grin was equal parts endearing and exasperating.

“You’re late,” Kate shot back, not missing a beat. “Typical America, keeping everyone waiting while you bask in your own fabulousness.”

America snorted. “Oh, please. Like you didn’t spend an extra ten minutes in front of the mirror perfecting your little badass archer look.” She circled Kate, her dark eyes flicking over the snug costume. “Nice suit, by the way. You’ve been hitting the gym, huh?”

Kate arched an eyebrow. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Just saying, it’s hugging you in all the right places. But don’t let it go to your head.”

Kate rolled her eyes but couldn’t entirely suppress a small grin. “Right. Like I need fashion tips from someone who wears the same jacket every day.”

“Hey, don’t knock the jacket,” America replied, feigning offense. “This thing’s iconic.”

“Sure. Iconically overdue for a wash.”

The two dissolved into playful laughter, the banter setting the tone for what was supposed to be a lighthearted training session.

Kate stepped onto the mat, nocking an arrow with practiced ease. “Alright, enough chit-chat. Let’s see if you can keep up.”

America cracked her knuckles, flashing a challenging grin. “Bring it on, Princess.”
