Amber Gets a New Boyfriend

Amber being a hard driven, goal oriented girl, does not make friends well. It also leaves her **** to the tales of a good liar. You learn from Tom at school on Monday how much Bobby has changed as of late. Tom is at first angry with you as he thinks you are still best friends with Bobby. Bobby has been seeing Tom's cousin Erica in secret and has her hooked on pot smoking and possibly has her pregnant. She told him this Sunday when their families got together for their annual cookout at the start of Homecoming Week at Johnson College (where many Bradley men have gone for generations).

You tell him of your experiences Saturday night (omitting your time with Erica) and how you and Karen are also not happy with Bobby right now. Amber seeks out Karen at lunch and says she is sorry about her actions and words Saturday night and that she now feels much of what Bobby told her is lies. She says that seeing he took advantage of the first chance he could to do a drunk girl bareback, she is glad that she never got drunk around him and insisted he wear a condom the few times he fucked her (she didn't hear about his exploits with Erica yet). No one has seen Bobby at school all day.

Bobby was busted Sunday with a large amount of assorted ****. Law Enforcement then had the principal open the school and they found pot and pain killers in his locker. Karen is quick to forgive Amber for her outburst at Uncle Jim's but it takes a little longer for you and Amber to get comfortable around the other. Friday, three weeks after the big party at the Smith cottage, you are at the Smith's grocery store waiting for Karen to finish her shift. Jon sees you and motions you into a little side office and closes the door. He tells you he needs a favor.

You and Jon go way back but haven't been as close lately since he has been working at the store a lot more since he turned 18 over a year ago. Jon is a senior in high school and would have graduated last year but he missed a year of school due to a near fatal A.T.V. accident. You were riding with him and others that day and your actions saved his life. (More details are found in other parts of this story.) This has made your friendship even stronger. He tells you that he knows you are waiting for Karen, that you are a great couple, that he remembers you obsessing over her for years, and congrats on finally hooking up with the girl you wanted for so long.

Now for the favor. He wants you to hook him up with her cousin Amber. While Jon's family having money is a great asset for picking up girls, he is very insecure. The accident stunted his growth and he is only 5' 8"( his dad and older brother are both 6'3"). He also has some ugly scars that long sideburns cover up some (he can't grow a full beard) and walks with a slight limp. You tell him sure buddy-you will help him and think that she will want to date him.

You and Karen set Amber up with Jon. They have their first date at Halloween. It is a double date with you and Karen. At first Jon and Amber are nervous and shy as Jon's injuries and Amber's experience with Bobby make them both insecure but after getting majorly hammered on their fifth date, their relationship improves. They use rubbers but one breaks around Valentine's Day and Amber is knocked up. You and Karen have been safe with condoms and pulling out. Karen's mom gets her on the pill to be sure after Amber gets pregnant. About this time Agnes is back in town to visit her mom and she looks pregnant. This is confirmed next week by Uncle Jim who said that she is engaged to a doctor but the doctor is not the father of her unborn daughter. It appears she was knocked up about the time of the great party.

Bobby managed to get Erica pregnant but she loses the baby in her fourth month of pregnancy. Her pot use and pregnancy affected her enough so that her tennis career is over and she drops out of Woocott Institute. Bobby turned snitch to get his prison sentence reduced. He rats out step brothers Arron Thompson and Josh Nicolas saying they are major **** dealers when in fact they just sold a little pot to friends and to support their personal use. Arron and Josh's families are poor so they both get five years in prison for crimes that should have been jail or probation. He also gets Nathan Whyte busted for crimes more serious than they were. While Nathan's attorney father gets his charges reduced to 6 months jail time with work release, the family name is tarnished, and Mr. Whyte has to relocate his practice to Central City, two hours away.

Bobby is discovered hanging from a bedsheet in his cell eight months into his prison stay. It is listed as a suicide but it is obvious to most that he was murdered. It may have been that Josh and Arron made friends with gang members they were locked up with (both were in separate prisons than each other and Bobby), Mr. Whyte may have called in a favor from one of his past clients, or Bobby pissed off a gang with the heighten awareness of **** trafficking in your area or something he did while in prison, but he didn't hang himself out of depression or willingly. His cellmate, who had served 20 years of a 25 to 40 year sentence and had never had a night in sick bay, mysteriously was in the sick bay that night with a stomach ache. Prison officials don't care to much about troublemakers like Bobby to investigate and the incident is soon forgotten.

You and Karen go to State University after high school and come back home, get married and raise a son and daughter. Karen is an accountant for Smith Ventures and you do all the advertising, public relations, and creative stuff. Uncle Jim is out of town a lot so you help out at his business too. Amber is a stay at home mom for the three sons she and Jon have. Jon and his brother Bill are top executives for Smith Ventures. About a year after her affair with Bobby, Erica starts dating Bill Smith. After seven years they marry but never have kids. Ashley Smith dropped out of Woocott Institute after she got pregnant at a party in the fall of her second year. She doesn't know who fathered her baby. The following fall she takes her daughter to Central City to live with relatives she has there.
