You really don't want to be **** to play politics right now, but you can't risk letting Ryan have control of anything gun related until you've had a chance to safeguard the armory. You tell yourself that as soon as all of this is over, you'll tell Alyssa about Ryan's plan. If enough people look to her as leader, maybe she can actually take action.

"Works for me, Alyssa. How many guns were you thinking you'd need?"

Alex shoots you a glare and storms off in a huff. Yep. Saw that one coming.

"Well, there's two groups here and three of you going out in the field, so we ought to be able to make due with two guns here. I wouldn't want to send any of you three out unarmed when we don't know what to expect. I'll let you decide which guns to take with you."

Alyssa is positively beaming with every word. Well, at least there are some perks to this decision.
