Almost late for work, but...

The faint sound of his alarm in the other room hadn't even managed to register to James. He only slightly stirred when Aurora had shifted and pressed herself into his side. Finally, a wake up call came. The startled shriek from his sister on the other side of the bathroom shocked him, and Aurora, into consciousness. When he stepped out of the tub, she sputtered several syllables before ducking out of the room, slamming the bathroom door behind her.

He managed to wrap a towel around himself and chase after her. He got to her just before she ran outside of the house.

"Sally, wait! I can explain!"

"Oh you better fucking move! I can not deal with this right now!"

"Sally, we were ****!"

"I don't- ...what?", she stared at him, her face a mixture of stunned and offended. "Why the hell would I buy that?!"

"Because it's true! After you left, I tried to see if I had anything else she'd eat. I tried some chocolate and she went crazy. I thought she was going to rip my...thing off."

"And that wound up with you two naked in the tub, how exactly?!"

"I...well she **** some pink stuff into my mouth that she was secreting-"

"Oh, God gross, James-"

"And it was like this intense haze dropped down. I think it was like a...sex ****. A-and I think chocolate is like that for her."

"Oh, James no you- what if she's pregnant?!"

"I don't know, Sally! I didn't have control though, neither of us did."

"I just...", she took a deep breath and groaned, "Fiiiiiiine, fucking shit just....go get dressed and call off of work we have some talking to do."

"Fine, just...gimme a sec."

"She comes out here, first. I'm putting clothes on her so that you don't stare the whole time."

"Sally, come on."

"No. No 'come on' anything this time, James. Either we do this the way I'm comfortable with or I'm out."

"Okay. Just...keep a blue light on your phone so she knows you're not being threatening."

"Noted. Go change."

James nodded and quickly made his way back, to find Aurora curled in the bathtub. Her spots were shimmering a mixture of purple and red, flashing back and forth. James made a note to try to figure out these colors past 'blue means safe'. He held his palm out like she'd done once before. When she returned the gesture, he guides her out of the tub and out into the hall. Sally already had a blue light waiting.

With a glance at James, who gently pushed her lower back towards his sister, she walked to her. James closed the door and changed as quickly as he could, while calling his boss using the speaker to say he'd be staying home sick today. When he came out, he saw that Sally had managed to get Aurora into a purple belly shirt and a green skirt that came down to her calves. She shimmered blue when she looked up from the floor to see James coming in. After he sat down, several minutes went by of tense silence.
