All Together Now

Before they could continue their conversation, T'salam the Enderkin materializes next to Lazlo and Lester the Wolfkin is simply there next to her. Lester has a wide grin on his face, "We did some....bonding earlier-"

Everyone laughs aloud at his obvious statement but Lester continues, "-and it turns out we grow stronger as we...procreate." In demostration, he unsheathes the white claws from the fingertips of his right hand and holds them up. Everyone gawks as electricity starts to leap from the claw tips, "Bio-electricity. My body chemistry has altered a bit and I can reroute some of my extra energy into my claws..."

Lester looks over at T'salam, who closes her eyes. When she opens them, they glow with a bright purple, "I can see through walls and solid objects now along with walking through them." She blinks and her eyes return to normal. Her gaze lands on Jeff, "Your heart....it's different from the others...." All eyes turn to Jeff as she continues, "Their hearts glow a neutral red color....but yours....it's glowing emerald..."

At those words, Jeff lets out a gasp and collapses to his knees, right hand holding his chest. He is slightly bent over with eyes screwed shut as Kim kneels beside him, a look of irritation on her face, "What is it now? Is a day going to pass without some new power and an episode relating to it?"

He didn't answer because the voice that spoke was not his own. He opens his eyes, emerald light replacing the aqua, "Greetings, my son. You have grown so much since we last met. How are you?"

Jeff blinks and his eyes return to aqua, "Enderlin Karta..." He roars soon after as his skin starts to crawl, emerald fire igniting on his black scales. It leaps off his body and onto the floor in front of him. Everyone watching takes a step back as the fire bursts into life. All eyes avert as the flame's brightness magnifies.

Minutes pass and the light dies down at last. What stands on the wooden flooring is a dragonkin similar to Jeff, only wrinkled and female. Enderlin Karta smiles at the group with emerald fangs, "It is so nice to meet you all. I was waiting for the time when Jeff was evolved enough for me to appear. It happened much faster than I thought."
