Chapter 10 by Alex_Jay

What's next?

Alice's confusing interview

"I don't know what to tell you" the doctor says to the frustrated officer. "her recollection is consistent with head trauma, her physical symptoms... just aren't. She's been in a fight, but a blow to the head causing that kind of amnesia would have left a bigger bruise. I'd think she's been ****, but who date-rapes a girl without **** her?"

Alice narrows her eyes. Since when did they even have **** kits for women? How would that even work? She imagined a gang initiation where male members were **** to have sex with random people off the street. Some weird prostitution ring? She shuddered at the thought.

The DILF cop stuck his head in the room. "Classmate's here" he said. They'd replaced him with an initially soft-spoken female officer, who had gotten increasingly frustrated when she, and two of these 'female **** kits' the hospital had, assured her she'd only been assaulted in the regular way. Why everyone seemed to think she was a likely **** victim they hadn't explained, and gotten exasperated when she asked them to.

"Send him in. Maybe he can piece together the timeline"

Jace walked in and oh god that wasn't fair he was wearing nothing but PJs and sneakers with nothing underneath his top two buttons were undone and he was looking at her with concern and - was that affection? Did she manage to save him then? Was he falling for his rescuer like in her fantasies? She cursed the flimsy medical gown she was wearing, aware that everyone could see the twin tents she was suddenly pitching.

"Let's take it from the top." the cop interrupted. "Alice here tells me she was walking home when she heard a commotion in an alley. She saw three female gang members sexually assaulting you. She threw her backpack at one of them, giving you time to make a break for it, and the gang members rushed her. That's the last she remembers before waking up. We were hoping you could tell us your recollections"

Jace's face got more and more incredulous as he heard the story. He pauses before answering, then says in a worried tone, "I'm sorry, but I don't remember any of that. I went straight home from school, and didn't see any gang members. Didn't know there were any female gangs around here actually".

The cop throws a hard glare between the two of them, and suddenly Alice understands. She bids a tearful farewell to her fantasies of being Jace's hero, and says "I think I know what must have happened. It must have been someone else, and with the head trauma or whatever it was, and with what happend earlier in the day my brain filled it in as being you. Sorry to drag you out of bed for nothing" she sighs and can't help but steal another glance at his immodest PJs.

"What happened earlier?" the cop asks sharply, and both teens blush. Then Jace speaks up, "Alice caught me checking her out and... glared? Warned me off? I'm really sorry, I didn't think - "

Alice stares in frank disbelief as Jace is bundled out of the room and the cop turns to her with her best fatherly face.
