Alex is back.

The door opens and Alex steps in awkwardly, hampered by the armful of bags he has. He's wearing a pair of khaki shorts and a plain blue t-shirt. He looks relaxed and fresh. He looks up and smiles warmly when he sees you looking at him. "Be with you in a mo"

He steps into the kitchen. You hear a groan of relief and the sounds of plastic bags settling. He returns to the living room, a single, large paper bag in his hands. "This is for you," he says, offering you the bag bashfully. You take it, reaching in and removing the contents. Your eyes widen. He's bought you clothes. A beautiful summer dress, white with black spots. A pair of simple, slip on flat shoes. Two pairs of plain white knickers, your size. There's also two bras. They look too small, but only just. You decide not to tell him that. "I checked the sizing on your clothes here, and went from there," he says, as he sees you check the tags.

You gape at him. "Why did...No one...Just, why?"
"Well, I couldn't expect you to walk around naked all weekend. Unless you want to of course. And you shouldn't have to wear dirty clothes."
"Thank-you,"
You feel so grateful. And guilty. He truly is kind. No one, not since your eighteenth birthday has been so kind to you. You fight back the tears welling in your eyes. How could anyone do this to you? You half-smile in irony. You remember thinking the exact same thing about the exact same person under totally different circumstances only last night.

You smile at Alex, your teeth shining. "Thank you so much," You have to give him something in return. He gave you a give out of the goodness of his own heart. You don't think you could look at yourself in the mirror if you didn't offer him something in return.

You stand up and cross over to him. You kneel down in front of him. You grab his shorts in both hands. You look up, green eyes wide and meet his gaze. "Thank-you"
