Alex comes home

When Alex came home, Lina was still asleep, partially submerged in the warm water, with her eggs nestled between her supple thighs. He called Lina's name but could only hear muffled sounds from the bedroom where Stacy lay bound and gagged. Panic began to stir in him as she contemplated dire fates that could befall his mutated lover. Images of her being devoured by the worms or hauled off by men in black suits drove him into a frenzy. He dropped the food in the living room as he carefully stalked the house as if a movie monster was around every corner.

He worked his way down the hall and recognized the white noise of the shower, and the panic left his shoulders like submarine surfacing. He breathed a heavy sigh of relief as he pushed the door open, slowed momentarily from the towel blocking the door. The blast of steam was momentarily blinding, but smelled incredibly sweet. He rushed to her side as he saw Lina's form crystallize in the fog. Lina was exhausted but opened her eyes slightly as Alex brushed her matted hair from her face. She smiled to dispel some of the concern on his face. Alex smiled back nervously and looked down at the mound of pink eggs. "What are we going to do with all of them" Alex said sheepishly. The creatures in the eggs wriggled periodically casting cute shadows on the velvety shells.
