Chapter 8 by Ator Ator

Who do we follow? Alan and Cindy? Chris? The other guys?

Alan and Cindy

They walked quietly back to the cabins, for awhile. Cindy was carrying the weight just fine, but realized she may not last, as her arms were already feeling a bit of a burn. "So, Alan?"

"Hmm?"

"Nice to meet you. I'm Cindy."

"Pleasure to meet you too. I'd shake hands, but...you know."

She snickered. "Yeah, me too."

Fuck, I suck at small talk! she thought to herself. "Um, you've been here before, right?"

"Last year."

Are there any secrets I should know? About the camp, or...something?"

Alan was quiet for a moment. "Here's a tip. Faster you get a job done, the more free time you have. Big Frank will usually assign one big task a day. If you get that done, then you have free time before the campers get here. He's pretty laid back."

"So if we get this job done...?"

"If we get it done before lunch, he'll probably let me give you all the tour, or hit the pool this afternoon. He's tough, but fair."

Cindy grinned. Her load seemed lighter, now that she had a reward to look forward to. She had pestered the guys before they left the outbuilding. But now...Then she thought of her brother. He wasn't a weakling. but he also wasn't the most physically fit person either. If he didn't keep up, she'd have to help him. Trouble was, he wouldn't accept it. She had to be sneaky. He was already in a bad mood about the entire situation anyway. It's not like Dad was punishing us. He just said we'd be better off knowing about hard work, she thought.

She sighed and looked up again at Alan. He didn't seem bothered by his load at all. In fact, it looked too easy for him. She spent a lot of time in weight rooms, doing leg presses or conditioning for her volleyball practices. She could recognize when someone was having difficulties with their weight set. Alan was definitely...not.

She shook her head. Her mind was straying dangerously. "What sport are you in?"

Alan looked at her, surprised. "Sport?"

"Well, I can tell you work out."

Alan guffawed. "Well, I did my freshman year in wrestling. But really, it's just farm work."

"Oh?" she smiled, "So you're a real cowboy?"

"Yes Ma'am."

"That's cool. Are you going to show us the ropes around here?"

"If you're willing to learn," he said. They had reached the boys cabins. These cabins were empty. It appeared the other girls, And Chris, he thought, elected to start on the other side with the cleaning. They set the boards up against the outside walls of the one of the cabins. Neither of them paused, but turned around and headed back to the outbuilding for the next load.

Cindy smiled again. Alan was right, this wasn't going to take too long. It was just tedious. "Hey, I'm willing to learn anything, as long as it's fun."

Alan grinned at her. "Everything is fun. Just depends on your attitude."

She liked this guy. He seemed genuine enough. "Well, this time, don't hold back. Grab as many as you can." Alan raised an eyebrow at the comment. "Just consider it a test. I want to see how much fun you can be." she said with a laugh. When the tall boy blushed at the comment, she melted a bit. Innocence was a turn on for her.

He grinned at her. "OK, but just don't hurt yourself trying to keep up."

"Not a problem," she replied. as they began the walk back to the outbuilding.

Who do we check in on now?
