Her gaze sharpens considerably, her former indecision put aside for the moment. You have little to lose from telling the truth, so you shrug and answer plainly. "Perhaps you have already seen them here and there. The Fell. Strange beasts or near-beasts born of an ancient enemy and negative emotions. They were formed as a self-repairing weapon meant to destroy life. They can be weak or strong, but won't stop coming until we figure out a way of blocking them out somehow.

Depending on who succeeds, things could be pretty bad for mortals. But if you accept my offer and become one of my champions, you'll have the chance to make a positive difference." You smirk confidently as you add. "Plus I've never left a lady unsatisfied."

She flushes severely again, but her expression is a mixture of determination, relief, and a hint of curiosity. "Well, it doesn't look like you're lying." She admits slowly. "And you sound like you know what you're talking about. A..and I don't really have a boyfriend right now, so..." She bows, her head turning as red as a tomato.

You place a large hand lightly on her head and hold our other hand up to the sky. "I, Freyr, accept and name this woman as mine. She will be one of my champions and constant companions from this moment on." Distant thunder rolls in response, and the sky darkens except for a sunbeam that pierces the new gloom and illuminates the two of you. The ritual complete, you slip your hand from the top of her head to behind it and pull her in for a sizzling kiss. She gives a startled squeak and... passes out? This is going to be more work than you had originally anticipated.

You support her against your body to keep her from falling, then scoop her up in your arms as if she weighed nothing. Ensuring that the pistol harness you took from the defeated warrior is still strapped to you, you set off in more or less the same direction you had before. Claiming a champion could have exposed your power to the Fell, and that always riles them up. Its best to keep moving for the time being.
