Aftermath

It has been 4 years now since you started a new life on the Cerulean swallow. You have well adapted to life in space, your new job as a pilot, your time as someone’s lover and even the existence of a little you running around.

Your daughter is a twi’lek, just like you. However, she’s got her father’s orange skin color and also a few white markings on her lekku, like Marash has. Not a big surprise, really, because red skin in twi’leks is rare.

During your travels Millus ended up with another stowaway on his ship. This time it was a male Mirialan ****. Just like with you, Millus welcomed him on board asked him to perform a job while transporting him. He decided to train as a technician with Seva. You presume it’s because she shared his race.
Millus then and brought him to Karfeddion to fake his citizenship. Just like with you the new guy felt so compelled to pay him back that he took a job on the swallow. Though perhaps Seva might have something to do with that as well, because about a month later the two Mirialans announced they had become a couple.

But that was all in the past. These days Seva is already 6 months into a pregnancy of her own. But today you are shocked to hear about an attack on Jabba the Hutt, the last master who bought you. Apparently, this time, he died. Nobody seems to know who ended up killing him because Jabba’s entire entourage was slaughtered as well. That means the Hutt tribes are unable to join their forces and hunt down Jabba’s murderer. They simply don’t know who to go after.
You can’t express how elated you are. Now any chance of a bounty hunter being sent after you to collect you should be gone forever. Also, you never told the crew Jabba of all people was your last master. Perhaps it is best to keep quiet about that.

But Captain Millus has news as well. He gathers all the crew in the lounge and makes his announcement.
“So, everyone I’ve got bad news and good news.” He starts. “Let me start with the bad news. I am going to sell the Cerulean swallow.”
You were shocked. The ship you have been calling home for so long is being sold? But it is where you met your husband and your daughter was born.
“The good news is, I can use the money from its sale joined with the money I saved up to buy a new ship, a YZ-900 Corellian freighter.”
“Wait, hang on.” Marash interjects. “You mean to say you are upgrading from a light freighter to a medium freighter?”
“Exactly.” The Captain says. “Back when we were only three the swallow was big enough, but since then we’ve doubled.” Then Millus looks at Seva and says, “Nearly more than doubled. But a Corellian medium freighter doesn’t only have more space for cargo, it also holds has more rooms for personnel, a bigger lounge, and so forth.”
You’re still not too happy about leaving the swallow, but moving into a bigger home is probably for the best. Especially since …
“Hey, Captain. Since we are sharing good news today, I feel I should say something too.” You say.
You then turn to your husband and say, “Marash,” Then you grab his hand, place it on your lower belly and look him in the eyes. “We are having another.”
Marash’s face lights up and with a big smile he says, “Baby.” Then he takes you in his arms and gives you a big kiss.
While kissing your man, you hear applause from your colleagues. Well, you family as your heart would tell you.
“Why is daddy kissing mommy, aunt Seva?” You hear your daughter ask.
“It’s cause your mommy is going to have a belly just like me.” Seva replies.
Your daughter gasps and says, “Am I going to have a little sister?”
“Or brother.” You say after the kiss ends. “We don’t know yet.”
“Looks like the move to a bigger ship comes right on time.” Millus says.
When you think about how the crew and their families are growing, perhaps a move like this really is for the better. You approve.
