Chapter 11

What's next?

Advance!

Advance or retreat? Was it even really a question? Jessie need me.

I attempted to push past the hunter before me. The attempt failed. He was a slab of unmovable muscle.

"You like to watch?" The brute before me asked. He put his hands on my hips and stepped forward. He was taller than me. Wider than me. Stronger than me.

Putting on my best bitch face I stared the hunter down. My cold eyes told him to stand aside. Even as my heart fluttered in my chest. A battle of wills transpired between us. My stern gaze vs. his bent up lust. Any sign of weakness on my part would have spelled disaster. This was the jungle. Were only the strong are meant to prosper.

Thankfully his resolve crumbled before mine. Stepping aside the hunter waved me towards the bed.

And in victory I found myself challenging a mightier foe. The Alpha. Fortunately, or unfortunately I caught him with his pants down.

The situation on the bed had progressed somewhat during my test of wills with his guardian. Jessie's legs were spread and her will weakened.

I locked eyes with the Alpha, but I knew this battle was lost before it began. I felt menaced by his size. His biceps were wider than my open hand. And his spear, dangling their in all its glory was... Well distracting. But Jessie need me.

I knew will power alone would not win me this fight. But brains might. Reaching into the tiny purse that held my note pad and pin I pulled out a cell phone. I showed my weapon to the Alpha. Reminding him that I was not alone. Through this handy instrument of communication the civilized world had come crashing into the deep dark jungle.

The Alpha seemed unfazed. I had confronted the beast in his layer and found myself poorly armed for the encounter.

Still, I understand the importance of committing oneself fully to the task at hand. Jessie was leaving with me in the condition we arrived in and that was that.

I pulled Jessie from the bed and walked her out of the room. To my surprise, which I tried my hardest not to show, the Alpha made no move to stop me. He just stood there and watched in growing frustration as I stolen his prize from him. His long spear testifying to the state of hunger I was leaving him in.

Jessie and I ran into Sarah halfway down the dark hallway. She seemed lost and confused, but had managed to steer clear of any farther danger. The benefit of a sober mind I now see in hindsight.

And that is how the three of use escaped the jungle with are dignity intact. I never got my interview with one of the "Ho-bags". And yes we left Jessie's panties laying in a frat room trophy case. But I think those who read this column now know the truth. That the jungle is not for the timid or the unwise. Stay safe readers.
