Adela doesn't show up

You make sure to get to Rudy's early so that Mike and Burnie don't have another excuse to mercilessly tease you. Sure enough, both Burnie and Mike arrive at 7, eager to collect on their 'debt'.

"Hey dude." Mike says.

"Hey."

"Your girlfriend here yet?"

"No. She should be here soon."

"Yeah but the main thing is we're here, and we're thirsty." Burnie states.

With a shrug, you accept your fate and buy the first round of beers for your friends. As you drink, you listen to Mike's adventures in attempting to join a new band, and Burnie's misadventures in tinkering. By the end of your beer, you begin to wonder where Adela is. Whilst she isn't all that late, you had no reason to believe she would be late at all, so you decide to head outside and send Adela a text.

'hey are u coming?'

'no I'm not feeling it.'

'what's wrong?'

'my parents know'

'oh'

'yeah'

'do u want me to come over?'

'no I wanna be alone right now'

'okay. Do u mind if I send you a text every half hour or so to check on u?'

'Awww thats so cute Oscar. I'd appreciate that'

'okay I love u Adela'

'love u too'

After a sigh, you realize that you won't be able to think about anything but your girlfriend tonight. With that, you decide to head back inside.

"What's up dude?" Burnie says.

"Hey, I'm gonna call it a night?"

"Oh. You okay man?" Mike asks.

"Yeah, but Adela's a bit down."

"Oh okay. Hope things get better."

"Thanks."

"Yeah, see you Oscar." Burnie says.

With that, you go back home, hoping Adela is at least okay.
