Activities Ashore, Part 1
The seagulls were squawking as the Hollands’ car hurtled along the beachside road. Their small town had a million views of the Pacific Ocean, but somehow it was always beautiful to Jace. Something about the beach just drew him to it, even when it wasn’t covered in bikini-clad girls.
The Holland family’s destination wasn’t far off, it was just a few minutes up the road. The place was one of Amethyst Shore’s best places in Jace’s opinion. It was called Shoreline Recreation Center, though everyone just called it Shoreline. The place was awesome, and it had just about everything that someone could want. In addition to being a really cool summer job, it had a ton of things to do. Bowling alley, arcade, mini-golf, courts for stuff like volleyball or basketball, laser tag, and bumper cars, plus a bunch more. It was basically an all in one for a fun day out with some friends.
Jace used to come here all the time with Amy and Matt in junior year, but for some reason he hadn’t made it out here yet in senior year. This was his first time coming since the school year started, and he’d decided to make a day out of it. He’d invited Amy and Matt both, for nostalgia’s sake, plus Gabby and Isabelle. Since Skylar had been grounded, Jace had unofficially taken over as Izzy’s best friend. The pair of cousins had done everything together, practically. Jace had started driving her to school because Skylar was escorted to school and back by her family’s driver so she couldn’t go rogue. Jace couldn’t lie and say it wasn’t a smart move on Sophia Wayne’s part.
Skylar definitely would have gone rogue.
Jace looked up front where his parents were talking idly. He’d noticed recently that his parents only ever really made small talk or complained about each other. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d seen either of them make any effort to spend time with each other, or even talk to each other like a married couple should.
He pushed that thought away, though, and looked to his right, where a beautiful brown-haired girl was sitting in between him and Dana. Said brown-haired girl’s hair was whipping in the wind, just like all the other women’s hair. Jace and Danielle had rolled down their windows, and the warm breeze felt great as the car drove along.
“What?” Brooklyn asked a little self-consciously, and Jace realized he’d zoned out with his eyes lingering on her.
“Oh, nothing. Sorry.” Jace shook his head. He couldn’t resist another glance though, admiring how Brooklyn looked. She was dressed in a pair of black yoga pants and a tied up yellow tank top exposing her tanned stomach. Her incredible tits strained the tank top, the same way her ridiculously perfect hourglass curves strained those yoga pants. Brooklyn’s hips stretched those poor things out plenty already, and then her huge thick ass stretched it out the other direction. Jace wondered idly if Brooklyn had to buy reinforced yoga pants so that they didn’t rip when her phenomenal lower half stretched them out.
Brooklyn was a beauty, really. No beating around the bush, she was just insanely gorgeous. He couldn’t see her hazel eyes right now thanks to the familiar pair of sunglasses she wore, but those were beautiful, too, and he always loved the way her eyes seemed to smile at him when she looked at him. Part of Jace had begun wondering recently what dating Brooklyn would be like, and he hated himself for it.
For one thing, she was Dana’s best friend, she’d probably be super pissed if he started dating her. But also, well… he had whatever he had going on with Olivia. He didn’t know if that counted, though, to be honest. Olivia was his teacher, for one, and twenty five, and she was incessantly reminding him that if he found a girl his own age, he didn’t have to keep doing this. The problem was Jace really wanted to keep doing things with Olivia. He just also wanted to do things with Brooklyn. And he didn’t want to stop fucking Sky or Amy. And that wasn’t even mentioning his mother or sister, but he tried to wall that off whenever he could, or he’d be insanely hard around them 24/7. If he tried really hard, he could cut that down to 20/7 or so.
Jace, regrettably, tore his eyes off Brooklyn before she started to think he was a creep or something, though she might think that already. Jace instead looked out the windshield and saw Shoreline there. It was a big rectangular sort of building, set right on the beach, basically. It was just high enough up to be off the sand, but the beach was right there. Jeremiah parked the car, and the Hollands and Brooklyn piled out. Daisy, who’d lost against Dana in a coin flip, grumbled as she climbed out of the backseat towards Jace. Her tits dangled rather appetizingly in front of his face as she tried to climb out, and Jace couldn’t resist grabbing his by sister by the hips. He helped her out of the car, and maybe his face pressed into her tits accidentally while doing so.
From the smirk on her face as he set her down, she’d definitely noticed, but she didn’t say anything, just thanked him for the help. Jace grinned as Daisy walked away, wearing a pair of jeans and a purple shirt. It was a surprisingly modest outfit from the back, but the shirt had a nice deep V to show off plenty of her golden tanned breasts on the front.
Jace cast his gaze around the parking lot to see if he could spot Matt or Amy’s car, but he didn’t see anything.
“Jace?” a familiar voice asked, and he turned around to see Brooklyn looking at him. Dana had kept walking, it seemed, as she, Daisy, and their parents were all halfway to the entrance. She’d put her sunglasses up on her head, and he could see the curiosity in her hazel eyes.
“Just looking to see if Amy or Matt were here yet.” Jace explained.
“Isn’t Isabelle coming too?” Brooklyn asked, falling into step alongside him as they walked towards Shoreline.
“Yeah, but she doesn’t have a car. She lives nearer to Gabby, though, so Gabby’s giving her a ride over.” Jace explained.
“Oh, that makes sense.” Brooklyn nodded, and the pair fell into silence.
“How’s school going for you?” Jace asked. Brooklyn shrugged, which made Jace’s eyes flick down for a few seconds, but he didn’t think she’d noticed. Or if she did, she didn’t react to it.
“It’s going pretty good. Mr. Calhoun is absolutely drilling us in math class, but we’re getting through alright, I think.” Brooklyn said. “At least Ms. West’s class is fun. Your sister’s a pretty great TA, too.”
“Yeah, Daisy’s awesome.” Jace chuckled. “I love that class, too. My favorite’s probably Ms. Roberts though.”
“Right, she’s your aunt’s friend, isn’t she?” Brooklyn recalled from that truth or dare night a while back, a month and a half or so.
“Yup. Aunt Daph’s been best friends with Kayla- uh, Ms. Roberts since forever.” Jace nodded.
“Must be hard having to call her Ms. Roberts.” Brooklyn laughed. Jace laughed too.
“You have no idea how many times I slip up.” Jace grinned.
“Hey, hurry up!” Dana called from the entrance, and Jace chuckled.
“She’s really impatient, isn’t she?” Jace grinned. Brooklyn giggled.
“She’s not the most patient person in the world.” Brooklyn said loyally.
“Uh huh. You can tell her she’s pushy, you know.” Jace said, and Brooklyn laughed, shaking her head.
“No, no, Dana’s great.” Brooklyn said.
“Now I know you’re lying.” Jace smirked.
“What was that?” Dana asked, raising an eyebrow.
“I was just telling Brooklyn how much I adore my twin sister.” Jace said with an innocent smile.
“It’s true.” Brooklyn nodded.
“Right.” Dana said, squinting at the pair before they started laughing. Dana joined in with the laughter.
“It’s possible we were discussing how you can be a little pushy sometimes.” Jace told Dana truthfully.
“Hey!” Dana exclaimed. “I’m not pushy!”
“Well…” Brooklyn teased, making Jace laugh.
“This is why I hang out with David. You guys suck.” Dana shook her head, but she was laughing, too. “You two ganging up on me is not good.”
“We make a good team.” Jace shrugged, and he glanced sideways at Brooklyn, who was staring at him with an expression he couldn’t quite decipher.
“Yeah, we do.” Brooklyn nodded.
“Jace!” a voice interrupted, and he turned around to see his busty ginger best friend coming towards him in a green tank top and some cutoff jean shorts.
“Hey, Ames.” Jace said, and greeted her with a hug, wrapping his arms snugly around her body. Her arms reached up for his neck and she squeezed him back. Jace looked over Amy’s head to see Amy’s neighbor standing a little awkwardly there.
“Hey, James.” Jace nodded. The quiet dark-haired boy nodded back.
“Uh, hey.” he said a little awkwardly. Amy let go of Jace and stepped back to grab James’ arm.
“I invited him, I hope that’s OK.” Amy said worriedly.
“The more the merrier.” Jace shrugged. “You been here before, James?”
“Uh, no.” James shook his head. “Haven’t been.”
“Oh, you’ll love it!” Amy exclaimed. “It’s a ton of fun here.”
Before Jace could say anything else, Amy was dragging James inside. Chuckling, he turned back to Brooklyn and Dana, only to find they’d already gone inside, too. Huh. Jace shrugged and decided to walk in. The others would arrive eventually.
Inside, Jace found Amy and James had already headed off wherever Amy was dragging him, which Jace found amusing. The two of them had been spending quite a bit of time together, and while Jace was happy to see Amy having other friends, he couldn’t deny he kind of missed her. She hadn’t even been in his bed a lot recently, with how Danielle or Daisy was always in it.
Jace spotted Brooklyn standing by herself, on her phone. He walked up to her, looking around.
“Where’s Dana?” he asked.
“Bathroom.” Brooklyn said, putting her phone away as soon as she saw him.
“You didn’t go with her? I thought girls hang out in there.” Jace grinned. Brooklyn made a yuck face.
“Maybe some girls. Dana and I have never been the hang out in a bathroom type.” Brooklyn said, making Jace laugh.
“Well, do you wanna start playing some games? I bet I could destroy you in air hockey.” Jace grinned. Brooklyn smiled.
“I’d love to play air hockey with you. And you probably could, I’m not very good.” Brooklyn admitted. Most residents of Amethyst Shore had the plastic cards Shoreline used for all their stuff, and Jace and Brooklyn were no exception.
They used the cards to turn on the air hockey machine, and then took up positions on opposite ends of the table.
“Go easy on me, OK?” Brooklyn asked hopefully. Jace made a big production of deliberating on that before laughing.
“Yeah, I’ll go easy on you. Don’t expect me to let you win though, I’ve got a reputation to uphold.” Jace winked. Brooklyn’s smile seemed to light up the arcade, and Jace couldn’t deny how amazing she looked while smiling.
———
In another part of Shoreline, Daisy Holland was focusing intently on her phone as her best friend Ariel Barnes was texting her status updates, when she was interrupted by her father walking up to her.
“Hey, Daddy.” Daisy grinned at her father, definitely not missing the way his eyes flicked down to the the deep V of her cleavage. “What’s up?”
“Just figured I’d come over here and see why you’re not having fun.” Jeremiah shrugged.
“Arcade games aren’t really my thing.” Daisy shrugged.
“There’s plenty of other stuff to do. What do you wanna do?” Jeremiah asked, and Daisy pointed towards the bowling alley.
“We could always go bowling.” Daisy pointed out.
“Sounds good.” Jeremiah smiled at his eldest daughter, and Daisy grinned back. She led the way forwards, and well, maybe she swung her hips a bit more than strictly necessary as she led her father towards the bowling lanes.
———
Gabrielle Barnes pulled her car into the Shoreline parking lot, and her and the other two occupants of the car climbed out. Gabby looked down at herself and couldn’t resist a smirk. Val had declared herself Gabby’s stylist for today, and while she was an awful handsy stylist, she’d picked out a pretty sexy outfit for Gabby to wear.
Gabby found herself in a tight red crop top that bared her pale midriff and plenty of cleavage. Gabby didn’t have the biggest tits around, especially compared to her family members, but she had some nice largish breasts that were very much on display in this top. On her lower half, Val had insisted she put on these black denim micro shorts that showed off pretty much all of her lower half.
Gabby didn’t mind showing off skin, but this was a lot of skin even for her.
“Showing off for someone?” had been her best friend Emily Wilkins’ comment when she saw Gabby’s outfit.
Gabby hadn’t exactly been able to say ‘yeah, my little sister’, so she’d instead opted to just shake her head and lie.
Speaking of Emily Wilkins, the two girls who’d climbed out of Gabby’s car were Emily Wilkins and Isabelle Holland.
Emily’s brown hair was pulled up in a ponytail, and the curvy Latina girl was in a pink tank top and some black gym shorts. Her shorts were a normal length though, unlike Gabby’s. Beside Emily was Isabelle, sporting a short white skirt and a light blue crop top, baring her midriff, too. Isabelle had a much more vibrant tan than Gabby’s pale skin, and she seemed to glow golden in the sunlight, almost. Isabelle also sported a sizable rack, one that stretched out that crop top quite noticeably. Several guys in the parking lot were giving the trio of girls some appreciative looks.
“Thanks for picking me up again, Gabby. I know I’m a little out of your way.” Isabelle said.
“Oh, don’t worry about it. You were very out of Jace’s way, so I didn’t mind saving him half an hour.” Gabby waved a hand.
“Yeah, and you’re not half bad to talk to either.” Emily joked, and Isabelle laughed. With a jolt, Gabby remembered they were volleyball teammates. Gabby had never really seen them hang out together, but she supposed they must chat a lot while on the team together.
“How’s volleyball going for you two?” Gabby asked as they walked towards the building. She figured she may as well ask while volleyball was on her mind.
“Oh, well…” Emily and Isabelle exchanged a look.
“It’s actually not going that great.” Isabelle sighed. “We got a new coach, and she’s such a bitch.”
“Not only is she rude, she’s also just really bad at being a coach.” Emily agreed.
“What happened to your old coach?” Gabby frowned.
“She was so great that she got snatched up by a college, actually. HSU grabbed her.” Isabelle said dejectedly.
“Wow, she just left like that out of nowhere?” Gabby asked.
“Well, she told us at the start of the season that she might have to leave.” Emily shook her head. “We just didn’t think it’d be so soon.”
“Or that she’d be replaced by such a raging bitch.” Isabelle muttered. “God, here I go again. I ranted about her to Jace for hours when he asked me, I’ll try to save you the same.”
“Appreciate it.” Gabby laughed.
“Oh, hey, it’s David!” Emily noticed, and she waved to the boy, who was walking towards Shoreline with a woman Gabby recognized as her Aunt Claire. Well, not aunt by blood. Claire was one of her mom Rachel’s two best friends, the other being Jace’s mom Danielle.
David and Claire changed routes over towards the trio of girls, and the fivesome met in the middle.
“Hey, Aunt Claire.” Gabby waved.
“Hi, Gabby.” Claire smiled. “Did your mother come today?”
“No, she was feeling a little under the weather.” Gabby shook her head.
“Is she OK?” David frowned.
“Yeah, she’s fine, just a headache, I think.” Gabby said. “It’s not like she’s bedridden or anything, she just didn’t feel like coming out here.”
“Well that’s a relief. If she’s in need of medical assistance though, just remind her she knows a nurse.” Claire smiled, and Gabby laughed.
“Will do.” she gave Claire a two fingered salute.
“You guys here with Brooklyn and Dana’s group?” David asked curiously.
“Basically. We’re with Jace though, really.” Isabelle shrugged.
“Danielle texted me saying they’ve already all split up inside.” Claire waggled her phone as she talked.
“Well, let’s go try and find them, then.” Isabelle said.
“Oh, we should play some volleyball sometime today.” Emily realized, seeing the sign for the court.
“Emily, I’m in a skirt. I’m not trying to flash everybody when I play.” Isabelle complained. David’s eyes widened slightly when he heard that, and Gabby smirked to herself. She could imagine the sort of thoughts David was having.
“I gotta find someone to play with.” Emily shook her head. “David, do you play volleyball?”
“Uh… no.” David shook his head.
“You should play with Emily.” Claire encouraged. “Maybe she can teach you.”
“Emily is a very good teacher.” Gabby jumped in. She was familiar with the reasons behind Emily asking David to play.
“Jace would probably be better at playing than me.” David shook his head.
“Well, I don’t wanna **** you.” Emily said a little dejectedly. Gabby rolled her eyes and looked at Isabelle to help, but she just shrugged.
He’s a moron. Isabelle mouthed, making Gabby laugh, but she tried to cover it up with a cough.
“Maybe you guys could play a game at the arcade instead, then. There’s a ton of other things to do here than just volleyball.” Claire mentioned innocently.
“Yeah, we could play some racing games, if you want.” David offered Emily.
“Sure!” she said brightly, and David and Emily went off towards the arcade that way.
“Well done, Aunt Claire.” Gabby said, holding her hand up for a high five. Claire high fived the girl with a laugh.
“I love my son, but he can be very dense sometimes.” Claire smiled. “So what about you two girls? Doing anything?”
“I’m off to go find Jace, actually.” Isabelle apologized, and she headed off to look for him.
“Gabby! Aunt Claire!” a voice called, and they turned to see Dana walking up to them.
“Hey, Dana.” Gabby said with a wave.
“Yeah, hey.” Dana said, but she was clearly frustrated.
“Is something wrong?” Claire frowned.
“I think my brother stole my best friend.” Dana grumbled, making Gabby laugh.
“What?”
“I went to the bathroom for like three minutes and when I came out, Brooklyn and Jace were gone.” Dana put her hands on her hips.
“Are they together?” Gabby asked curiously.
“Like at the moment? Probably. Are they dating? No.” Dana shook her head.
“Well, you’re welcome to hang out with me.” Gabby said.
“I’d love to hang out with you girls, but I probably should go find Dani.” Claire admitted.
“Were you just not leaving so I wouldn’t be alone?” Gabby raised an eyebrow.
“Well, maybe.” Claire admitted. Gabby chuckled.
“Mom’s over at the counter getting a water bottle last I saw her.” Dana told Claire helpfully, who thanked her and headed that way.
“So, what do you wanna do?” Gabby asked Dana.
“Uh…” Dana looked around thoughtfully, but then they were interrupted by a friendly face walking up to them.
“Hey, Matt, you made it.” Dana smiled.
“Yup. Ended up on the phone with Maple a bit about tomorrow, but I made it in a fairly timely manner.” Matt grinned.
“Well, you are late.” Gabby checked an imaginary watch.
“I’m sure Jace will forgive me.” Matt said with a smile. “Where is he, by the way?”
“Good question.” Dana grumbled.
“He stole Dana’s best friend from her.” Gabby stage whispered.
“Ah, Brooklyn?” Matt asked.
“Well, it’s not David.” Dana sighed.
“Come on. Let’s go play some ping pong.” Gabby suggested.
“But there’s three of us.” Matt pointed out.
“We’ll need two of us to beat her.” Dana said. “She’s a ping pong shark.”
“Well I can’t shark him if he knows I’m a shark!” Gabby complained. Matt laughed.
“Yeah, ping pong sounds good.” Matt said.
“Agreed.” Dana nodded.
