Ben takes a step back and his eyes widen slightly. "Well...no...I didn't mean...."

You stand and take a few steps towards him. "You didn't mean what? To imply that all gay guys are predators? Well, you did a damn good job of doing just that, even if you didn't mean to."

Ben holds up his hands, trying to placate you. "Look, I'm sorry. Alright? It's just that I've never met a gay guy before. And you hear all those stories, you know?"

"Yeah, sure. Because stories told by high school jocks are so trustworthy." You're still boiling, but you realize you're already starting to cool off. After all, you remind yourself, you're going to have to put up with this stuff for a while.
