Acquiring a Wand

It had seemed that he had not noticed you enter the shop he seemed to be in his own world you stood in front of him waiting for to notice you but he continued staring maybe it had something to do with the boy that had just left.

"Excuse me." you said finally grabbing his attention as his eyes that were staring off into the distance fixed onto you.

"Yes, Sorry my mind just left me a second." He said quickly focusing on you "And who might you be if you don’t mind me asking?"

"No worries, I'm Marvolo Gaunt" you swiftly replied the tone of the room quickly changed.

"Ah, Mister Gaunt how very nice to meet you." You could tell the worry in his voice along with the rooms tone, he was very uncomfortable. You made your eyes connect to his and watched as his body language changed into a relaxed tone with the room environment changing back to its normal state.

"I'm here for my wand." you said confidently, he quickly mustered and walk down one aisle of wands, Not a moment later he returned.

"You may be here for your wand, but it is the wand who chooses the wizard." He said briefing you. You could hear something at the back of one of the aisles, it seemed to be speaking to you.

"Hold out your arm. That's it." Snapping you back to reality he measured you, "Every Ollivander wand has a core of a powerful magical substance. We use unicorn hairs, phoenix tail feathers, and the heartstrings of dragons, While we do sell the occasional odd core here and there, You may never get consistency with a unique core, as you will never get such good results with another wizard's wand. Unless its allegiance changes" He said looking you in the eye before turning and looking at boxes down one of the aisles.

Again as quick as he had gone he returned once more with a few boxes, And again you heard something at the back of the shop emitting a low musical tone. "Right then, Try this one. Spruce and unicorn hair. Nice and flexible. Thirteen inches. Just give it a wave." As soon as you gave it wave the wand levitated out of your hand, Ollivander had saw and caught it mid air.

"No.. Try this. Ebony and a phoenix feather. Sturdy. Eight inches." This wand was much shorter than the other, another sound came from the back and you saw a lone box on a shelf no other boxes on the shelf with it.

"Mr.Ollivander, Sir what is that box back there all." He turned very suddenly and saw the box. "It's been making a noise ever since I entered this shop." You said, He turned back to you before rushing over to the box and bringing it back over to you.

The wand still was emitting a low musical tone, "You said this box was making a noise?" Looking at you, you simply nodded. He opened the box it pulling out a slightly white grey wand with a snake carved into the handle, He handed it to you, As you held it in your hands the wand sent a slight prickling sensation through your body the wand seemed to have a connection with you.

''Interesting, Fifteen inches, In my experience, tend to be drawn to big personalities, and those of a more spacious and dramatic style of magic, you going to be dramatic Gaunt." He said almost taunting you.

Surprisingly Swishy and Flexible" He said analysing the wand that you were holding as you were swishing it around. "That wand that has picked you, its core is a Horned serpents horn, It is very sensitive to people that have the ability of being a parselmouth, this is the reason you could hear it." He paused "This wand is not one that I have crafted, The core is unique, and like I was saying before they can be temperamental. Correct?" You nodded as he continued his assessment of the wand. "But since you are a parselmouth, I think this wand will be very loyal towards you." He explained taking a breath.

"Aspen wood is a very interesting wood, It is often found that aspen wand owners are generally strong-minded and determined, Revolutionaries, Looking to change something or have a sudden impact on society are you?" Looking at you as he said this give you a chill.

"It is also known that this wood was used by a duelling club known as The Silver Spears, allegedly they only allowed wizards and witches who possessed wands made from aspen wood to join as this wood is often owned by an accomplished duellist, or destined to be so." He said handing the wand back to you. "But that club has long been diminished, maybe it could return." Another look from him gave you even more chills.

"Thank you Mr. Ollivander for your time and patience." You said as you paid Ollivander for your new wand, Leaving Ollivanders it was time to get to the train and be on your way to Hogwarts.
