Acquiring A Wand (Ravenclaw Exclusive)

-(((Editors Note: Until Very Recently my Work on The Ravenclaw Route has been indefinitely Stalled, This chapter is For Those who chose the Ravenclaw Path, however since I Have little time to work the route online, and must do most of it offline, this chapter is a tweaked variant of The Original Wand Chapter by the Story Owner/Author Campbell. Therefore only The Differences are to be credited to myself the rest is his.)))-

It had seemed that he had not noticed Marvolo enter the shop he seemed to be in his own world even as Marvolo stood in front of him waiting for Him to notice. But he continued staring maybe it had something to do with the boy that had just left.

"Excuse me." Marvolo Said finally grabbing his attention as his eyes that were staring off into the distance fixed onto Him. "Yes, Sorry my mind just left me a second." He said quickly focusing on Marvolo. "And who might you be if you don’t mind me asking?" "No worries, I'm Marvolo Gaunt." Marvolo Swiftly replied the tone of the room quickly changed.

"Ah, Mister Gaunt, how very nice to meet you." Marvolo could tell the worry in his voice along with the rooms tone, he was very uncomfortable. Marvolo made His eyes connect to his and watched as his body language changed into a relaxed tone with the room environment changing back to its normal state.

"I'm here for my wand." Marvolo said confidently, he quickly mustered His Composure and walk down one aisle of wands, Not a moment Later he returned.

"You may be here for your wand, but it is the wand who chooses the wizard." He said briefing Marvolo. Marvolo could hear something at the back of one of the aisles, it seemed to be speaking to Him, focusing on it was difficult, the Sound Was Almost Non-Existent.

"Hold out your arm. That's it." Snapping you back to reality he measured Marvolo, "Every Ollivander Wand has a core of a powerful magical substance. We use Unicorn Tail Hairs, Phoenix Tail Feathers, and Dragon Heartstrings, While we do sell the occasional odd core here and there, You may never get consistency with a unique core, as you will never get such good results with another wizard's wand. Unless its allegiance changes." He said looking Marvolo in the eye before turning and looking at boxes down one of the aisles.

Again as quick as he had gone he returned once more with a few boxes, And again Marvolo heard something at the back of the shop emitting a low musical tone. "Right then, Try this one. Aspen and Unicorn Tail Hair. Nice and Flexible. Thirteen inches. Just give it a Wave." As soon as you gave it A Wave the wand levitated out of His hand, Ollivander had saw it move and caught it mid air.

"Not that then. Hmm, Alright Try this. Fine Grain Ebony and a Phoenix Tail Feather. Sturdy, but Flexible. Ten and 1/2 inches." This wand was just a little shorter than the other, another sound came from the back and Marvolo saw a lone box on a shelf no other boxes on the shelf with it.

"Mr. Ollivander, Sir what is in that box back there?" He turned very suddenly and saw the box. "It's been making a noise ever since I entered this shop." Marvolo said, He turned back to Marvolo before rushing over to the box and bringing it back over to him.

The wand still was emitting a very low musical tone, "You said this box was making a noise?" Ollovander asked Looking at Marvolo, who simply nodded. He opened the box it pulling out a Dark but Light Brown Wand With a Serpent Carved into the handle, He handed it to Marvolo. As He held it in His hands the Wand sent a slight prickling sensation through Marvolo's body the wand seemed to have a connection with Him. The Wand was Strange, it was obviously Powerful, but He detected a Conflicting Nature within it, an almost imperceptible One.

''Interesting, Fifteen inches, In my experience, tend to be drawn to big personalities, and those of a more spacious and dramatic style of magic, you going to be dramatic Gaunt?" He said almost taunting Marvolo. ''Made of Dogwood and is Possessed of A Core Of Dragon Heartstring, Taken from A Particularly Strong Hungarian Horntail. The Wand is Somewhat Quirky, and Reasonably Flexible, but also Unyielding. The Wand is Unusually Quick and Speedy in It's Spell Casting." He said analysing the wand that {fm} was holding as He Was swishing it around. "That wand that has picked you, its core was Originally a Horned Serpents horn, Meaning It was very sensitive to people that have the ability of being a Parselmouth, this is the reason you could hear it, unfortunately it was damaged almost beyond repair, and I had to Replace the Core, Specifically Dragons Heartstring as I said."

He paused momentarily.

"This wand was not one that I have crafted, The Core was unique, but Since Horned Serpents Horn is Quite Difficult to Come By I had To Replace it, but The Original Owner was Killed By Your Relative, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, before he could reclaim it, and like I was saying before they can be temperamental. Correct?" Marvolo nodded as he continued his assessment of the wand. "But since you are a Parselmouth, and Wands With Cores such as the Original can detect Parselmouths instantly, So It Would make sense if Some Residual Trace of Original Core remained and hence why you can hear it, I think this wand will be very loyal towards you." He explained taking a Deep breath.

"Dogwood Wands are Quirky and Mischievous; they have playful natures and insist upon partners who can provide them with scope for Excitement and Fun.

It would be quite wrong, however, to deduce from this that Dogwood Wands are not capable of serious magic when called upon to do so; they have been known to perform outstanding spells under difficult conditions, and when paired with a Suitably Clever and Ingenious Witch or Wizard, can produce Dazzling Enchantments. An interesting foible of many Dogwood Wands is that they refuse to perform Non-Verbal spells and they are often rather noisy, but Thiis One doesn't make much noise and is not necessarily against Performing Non-Verbal Magic. This Wand in Particular is Good For Charms and Transfiguration Work." Said Ollivander warmly, but the Look he Gave Marvolo as he said this and gave Him a chill.

"Thank you Mr. Ollivander for your time and patience." Marvolo Said as He paid Ollivander for His new wand, Leaving Ollivanders it was time to get to the train and be on His way to Hogwarts.
