Absolute Power

After this step mother left, William thought about all he could do. All the people who had wronged him, all the women he could bed. The world was his oyster, and he planned on eating well.

“Nurse Jessica is here,” he said aloud to nobody.

Instantly, the nurse appeared at the door. Slightly surprised, she walked in. “What just happened” she asked.

“Is there anything I can help you with Mr. Hamilton,” she inquired in her distant professional tone.

“I enjoy it here, may make it my residence for now. But need a bit better room, can you see if the CEO’s office is available?” he asked.

“I certainly can check into that,” she answered

“But I doubt it is,” she continued.

“The CEO just gave me her suite of offices,” he told the nurse.

“Oh, yeah, I forgot,” she continued. “I’ll get you setup there,”

“Thanks Jessica”

He felt extraordinarily well, wasn’t sure where to start beyond getting his lodging handled. No more staying with the step mom for him. He thought of her and concentrated, she had set up shop on a steadier part of downtown. She clearly didn’t seem to know what she was doing. He laughed briefly.
