Does Angela get examined? Or does something else happen?
Abigail
It was always Abigail's pleasure to welcome new inmates to the asylum with a physical exam. She loved to explore their nude bodies, all in the name of science, of course. She sauntered out of the exam room where she left Angela naked, carrying her bag of clothes for her father to take along with him.
George looked up at her as he finished signing the last sheet of the admissions forms. "There you go, Miss Stanhope. All signed, sealed, and delivered."
"And here you go, Mr McCrory. Your daughter's personal effects and clothing." She handed him the bag as he handed her the forms. She smiled brightly at him. "Don't worry. Angela is going to receive the best of care. There is no better psychologist than Doctor Henry Quackenbush. He's tops in his field. Your daughter may not even be here for very long. His methods are revolutionary."
"Thank you for the reassurance," said George. "She may have delusions that I raped her when she was younger. I just wanted to give you a heads up about that."
Abigail knew from looking at George that he was guilty. But she also knew this could work out in the asylum's favor. "Certainly it is something worth mentioning in her records. I'll make note of it after I've examined her, and escorted her to her room."
"Thank you so much for your understanding, and your help. That is a great relief."
"You're very welcome," she smiled. "Now, if you will excuse me, I must see to your daughter. Have a safe trip back home." She watched as George McCrory left the asylum for the last time. She knew it was going to be the last time, because she knew what awaited him. It was foul, beastly, ancient, and hungry. It had made Abigail its bitch a long time ago, just as it had done with just about every other staff member at the asylum. But to the entity that roamed the asylum and its grounds, Abigail was its right hand.
Abigail watched as George's tail lights disappeared into the thick blanket of fog. Then she turned to go. She had an admissions exam to do, and she didn't want to keep the young lady waiting.
